Hi everyone, I'm SisterMoon, or SM for short. I'm here to help everyone direct their mail -- email and snail mail -- to the right people at the right time. Our focus right now is on email to Fox and postcards to Fox. Email to: askfox@foxinc.com
GailB@Fox.com
SandyG@Fox.com
and the main Fox investor, News Corporation
investor@newscorp.com As always, please play nice!Snail mail: To find postcards, go HERE. This page will also link you to addresses for Fox, James Cameron, and others connected with Fox and the show. Some fan sites are organizing bar code campaigns: printing or cutting out bar codes to mail to Fox. Fox may not accept an envelope full of barcodes. Consider putting barcodes on a postcard instead.James Cameron knows we're out here. Focus your main effort on Fox, but if you have time mail him too and let him know we're not giving up without a fight! Back later with more! Happy mailing!

Hey guys, I don't watch Dark Angel, but when I found out it had been cancelled, I'd though I'd come over here and extend my sympathies and give you guys some hints. My fave show The Invisible Man was cancelled last fall by Sci-fi and ever since, the fans of the show have created a campaign much like this one to save the show. Some of our mailing items have included postcards, email, snail mail and wanted posters. My experience with snail mail was somewhat disappointing in that I got several of my letters back, especially from WB. Our campaign started off in this post Sept 11 th weeks when everyone was paranoid about the mail. One of the things we did was put Save I-man stickers on the envelopes and write little messages. This way, even if TPTB didn't open the actual letters, they would still see what they were about. Hmmm, what else can I tell you? Gift baskets with food and lots of show paraphenelia are always good. There's also publicity stunts like having someone dress up like the characters and try and get into FOX. Also sending press releases to newspapers and radio is a good way to publicize your campaign and get more people involved. This is just some of the stuff we have done at the Invisible Man campaign. Believe me, I know how it feels to lose your show. Just wanted to lend a helping hand with yours. And P.S., any I-man fans out there, come over and join us at imaniacs.org. We could use your help as well (come on, you knew I had to plug our campaign too). I wish you all the best of luck with your campaign and hope that TPTB take some positive action.
A fellow Scifi campaigner, Carol

EMAIL UPDATEThanks, mcnamcj. We really appreciate the advice! What a cool thing for you to stop by with it. On the Strategy thread, thundercat made the following proposal: I have a new idea (actually it's a take on someone else's idea): Operation Affiliate! I've compiled an e-mail list of FOX's 40 largest affiliates. What i propose is that we all send each of them an e-mail (i don't know what it's called but you send the same e-mail to a list of people at the same time). That way they are getting the same message we are sending FOX. We'll blow up their e-mail inboxes. As well as the address compilation I have also written the e-mail that all of us would send. Tell me what you think. I like this idea! After we spend this weekend filling the email boxes at Fox HQ, this could be an interesting follow-up. We could schedule it for early next week. Post a reply -- let me know if you would be up for this and when (weekday/weekend) would work best for you. Thanks! BTW, here are some numbers: Just among the people who posted reports on the Counts thread, we had sent out 275 emails to Fox/JC as of early this afternoon. I'm sure the real totals are higher, since not everyone is posting counts. For the rest of the weekend, let's keep emailing those folks at Fox. If you emailed Friday, do it again before the weekend ends so their boxes are FULL on Monday morning!

ADVICE FROM PCRNEGATIVEAs someone who is often on the receiving end [of customer mail] I would like to offer some advice to improve the chances of your letters, post cards and emails being read and possibly brought to the attention of Senior Executives. 1. Type or write as legibly as you can. 2. Use a spelling / grammar check if you have one. 3. Use plenty of paragraph breaks. 4. Keep your correspondence short and to the point (150 to 200 words). 5. Tell them a little bit about yourself: Who are you? What age group are you in? Why did you watch DA? Who watched with you? 6. Make sure you include positive comments not just negative ones, and always be polite. Don't forget that with any correspondence campaign, quantity is good, but quality is also important. Good luck to everybody!! Also, handwritten letters are very good. They show someone cared enough to put in a lot of time and work!

Post a reply -- let me know if you would be up for this and when (weekday/weekend) would work best for you. Thanks! We might as well make ourselves known in as many ways as we can. Are you thinking of making it, for example, an all-day-Monday campaign (or any day of the week)?

Post a reply -- let me know if you would be up for this and when (weekday/weekend) would work best for you. Thanks! I'd have to say Monday-I'm off school because of a holiday weekend (WOOHOO!) and my parents are working for at least part of it so I'd have my computer access

There's also publicity stunts like having someone dress up like the characters and try and get into FOX. That would be funny! If I lived down there I would probably do it too, or at least chicken out and get someone else too! Also, I got an idea. If your doing the barcode campaign and stuff, why not take a picture of a temp. barcode tattoo on the back of YOUR neck and send it to Fox. This would show that you're a big time Dark Angel fan.

Just a thought - since we are trying to reach as many people as possible about the Save DA campaign, why not focus some of our e-mails on the media. I know someone mentioned Howard Stern in one of the threads and that might be a good idea. He's got a ton of listeners and if they get a couple of hundred e-mails about the campaign there is a chance he may mention it on the air. The more people that know about this the better...

Hey guys. I only just found out about this site and boards today. Believe me, had I known about it, I would have been here so much earlier. I want to help out in any way that I can. I love Dark Angel with all of my heart. :'(I cried when it was cancelled, and every free moment from now on will be devoted to helping you all get Fox's mind on the right track. Stupid bastards cancelled the greatest show in the world. Right now I just want somebody to drown me in loads of things I can do to help out. I'll send out emails, handwritten letters, postcards, ANYthing! I'm a pretty good writer when it comes to the kissin' ass and talking about what I love; so I'm hoping that I'll be helpful. Tell me what to do! I'm going to start writing letters. I'll be on any committee that needs somebody. Peace. Out.
