Wait a minute - there was ME and that was a dud. My tech guy told me to ignore ME. I had ME for years, there was nothing wrong with it. I never heard the same complaints with it as I have with Vista.

I used to listen to the tech guys on the radio, KFI, KABC & KNX, (L.A. radio) while I was driving and they would always say, "NO, don't get ME." Or, "That's too bad you have ME." I would usually switch to another station so I never really knew why. It couldn't have been worse than the new FireFox. Gripe, sniffle and snort.

Tech guys on the radio? That UFO nutcase had the day off? ;D FYI they have invented this thing called M-U-S-I-C that is perfect for listening to while driving around. Give it a try some time let me know what you think.

There's an interesting guy, Leo LaPort (?) on KFI on the weekends. They talk about all tech stuff not just comps. Coast2Coast is on at 10 pm until 5 am everynight. I always have music CDs with me but sometimes I want to hear the traffic so I'll turn on a local station and listen to whatever. I can rarely find a music station that plays what I want to hear. I'm always up for Bob Seger or John Mellencamp or the Beatles or U2. Creedence Clearwater, Cat Stevens or a little Sarah McLachlan if I'm in a pensive mood.

Have a Vista question for you all. My Mom got a new Dell with Vista on it and I was setting it up for her. connecting to the internet it was getting a error page not found ( "the page" being the factory set Dell default page ) but when I manually type in a different address like yahoo it works. Here is my problem when I try to reset the default internet page it accepts the new page but then when I retry IE it still has the factory set default page. I installed Firefox on her new PC and it works fine but she doesn't like it.

Tell her that there is a lot of talk at the moment about IE security issues and the current advice is NOT to use it. If in doubt, always use scare tactics ("but Mom they said so on the news") to get what you want ;D news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/3840101.stmWeb browser flaw prompts warning Microsoft has issued advice about the loophole Users are being told to avoid using Internet Explorer until Microsoft patches a serious security hole in it. But she still doesn't like it. In fact doesn't like anything about Vista and I have a feeling she's just going to send the thing back anyways .

If she really hates FF you could try Opera, not sure whats its like as I haven't used it in several versions. I like it for the most part but there was one thing that bugged me, when you came across things that required plug-ins you didn't have it would just crash, unlike FF which tells you what you need. Like I said that was a while ago and that might have changed or maybe there was a setting for it I never looked.

So it seems that somebody is using my gmail address to send spam because in my spam I keep getting failure notifications. (Apparently my alter ego is selling weight loss products, funny) From what I found online there doesn't seem to be much I can do, especially since this stuff isn’t actually sent from my account, but won’t this put me / my email on the spam filter lists? Ugh, this is annoying.

^^^ awe they heard my cries and all is well seems that some of the sites that have facebook connections or however you say it like ibeatyou.com and digg.com were screwed if you were using firefox so that even though I wasn't trying to go to facebook it was causing problems with the sites I did want to go to. ^^^ And there we have the perfect pc situation, the explanation was even more confusing than the actual problem
