Took the kiddies to see Hugo. I think it's one of this 'kids' movies made for adults. A very beautiful, moving story but a little slow going at times and kinda long. Visually stunning.

Saw 21 Jump Street and Cold Light of Day..today. Cold Light of Day OS terrible don't see it. 21 Jump Street was a lot funnier than I'd expected and it succeeded in doing what I would've thought was impossible, turning me into a Channing Tatum fan. He was probably the funniest part of the film IMO.

looks ok to me, I have no great love for the original and the acting has got to be better this time I saw Five Year Engagement overall pretty good but waaaaaaaaay too long, a bunch of scenes are enjoyable but feel more like they should have been in the "deleted scenes" on the DVD The positives? this film has made me an Emily Blunt fan for the first time. Looks, acting ablility... I have never understood the buzz over her but I am on board now. The negatives? besides the length the film made a big mistake having several artists sing Van Morrison cover songs which is kind of distracting and the biggest mistake is not including Maria McKee, the only artist who ever out sang Van on one of his own songs

Have you seen the Adjustment Bureau? That was the film that sold me on her as an actress and just an awesome person. As far as looks I was 200% sold on her after her brief (pun intended) but HIGHLY memorable cameo in Charlie Wilson's War. I've now seen Avengers twice, once in IMAX, its an awesome film and I highly recommend spending the extra cash to see it in IMAX if you have the means.

Was it good? I did see Charlie Wilson War but honestly don't remember her from it. hoping to see it this weekend but no imax near me, they do have 3D but that usually doesn't do anything for me

I really, really liked the Adjustment Bureau, I thought it was fantastic the whole way through. Subtle and nuanced but great performances all around and Damon/Blunt have fantastic chemistry.
As for Charlie Wilson's War she plays the daughter of a Texan who comes in to complain about the nativity scene or some such. Then she winds up lounging around Tom Hank's character's apartment in her lingerie smoking a joint.

Finally saw the Avengers, didn't really care for the first hour but once the team came together the movie really picked up, enjoyed it as a whole.
Best part was the Hulk, I preferred Norton as Banner but this Hulk was much better than any previous versions.
Kind of surprised the two assassins were such a big part of the story and even more surprised at how good Scarlet Johansen was.
Seeing this has made me want to the see the Captain America movie.

Trailer looks good - but I must admit that I was so-so about Casino Royale. Didn't really like the last past of the film zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Haven't seen the 2nd one. Will probably wait for it to come out on Bluray and watch it at home. Daniel Craig doesn't do it for me...yeah I know

Movie catch-up night. Watched Men Who Stare At Goats and Thor.
Really liked the Goat movie. Very Cohenesque.
Thor isn't as good as Captain America (IMO). Perhaps would have preferred it a little more grounded - a little less time spent in Asgard? Looking forward to seeing the Avengers next.

^^^ Speaking of comic book movies, I recently watched Hellboy 2 and really enjoyed it. Funny thing is I remember trying to watch it when it came out and giving up after only a few minutes. Anyways a really imaginative and humorous film. I hope they make a third film.
