SACRAMENTO, CA, July 7, 2004 - "Her Minor Thing," a theatrical motion picture romantic comedy directed by Charlie Matthau and starring Estella Warren ("The Cooler," "Kangaroo Jack"), Michael Weatherly ("Navy NCIS," "Dark Angel"), Christian Kane ("Just Married, "Taxi" the movie) and comedienne Rachel Dratch, is now filming in Sacramento, California, where it will be filmed in its entirety.
The independent production is the story about the comic misadventures that develop when a beautiful professional Sacramento career woman (Warren) is rumored to still be a virgin at the age of 27. The film is produced by Crescent Moon Films with the film's writer Jim Meyers serving as producer and Vikki Wagner as executive producer. Also in the cast are comedienne Kathy Griffin, Flex Alexander and Victoria Jackson.
The screenplay is based on an original story by Debra Meyers and Jim Meyers. Director of photography is John Connor. Production Designer is Rich Baum. Costume Designer is Farrell Scott. Casting director is Orly Sitowitz. Among the famous Sacramento landmarks to be used as location sites are the historic Firehouse Restaurant and Raley Field baseball park.
For Matthau, "Her Minor Thing" represents a return to a directorial career that was interrupted by the close successive deaths of his father Walter Matthau and mother Carol. Matthau, a Film School graduate from the University of Southern California, previously directed four films. His primary directorial credit is the highly acclaimed "The Grass Harp" (1996) adapted from Truman Capote's play and starring an all-star cast that included Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon, Sissy Spacek and Mary Steenburgen. In addition, Matthau directed "The Marriage Fool," starring Matthau with Carol Burnett and John Stamos, for CBS-TV; the CBS-TV Movie "Mrs. Lambert Remembers Love," starring Ellen Burstyn; and his first film, the science-fiction comedy "Doin' Time on Planet Earth."

Michael is one of our leads. He is funny in the movie as well as on the set. Our cast was wonderful and you'll see great performances. They were lots of fun to work with and seemed to have fun while they were working with us.
Take care,
Debra
Producer
Someone asked when it would be released in Poland and this was Debra's reply:
At this time we do not know when "Her Minor Thing" will show in Europe. As soon as we know we'll post the information. It's also difficult for us to talk at this time about Premieres in other cities or countries as we are just beginning our marketing. “Her Minor Thing” is an independent film (not a studio film). It’s also difficult for us to know who could show up when at this time. We will post information as it becomes known. Michael was also very popular on the set. He’s very funny and of a generous spirit.
