I live in New Zealand. Don't think I'll make it in time LOL that's why I asked the question, I was thinking " damn, she's going all that way and I've never even gone crosstown to try and see JA at an event" .

Careful Dzero, that'll leave a mark.
Apparently, the preview for Her Minor Thing should be available for download in about a month.

From IMDB.com
Me: I love the picture of Charlie and Michael. The picture of Christian joining the female protest is hysterical. Making this movie with these actors must have been so much fun for you.
Debra (the producer): The actors were a lot of fun. Michael was always telling us some crazy story. After all the lines were delivered, Michael was forever throwing in a funny line right before Charlie would yell cut. We're hoping to have a Michael Weatherly outtakes of these funny lines on the DVD. One time he asked Estella if she was previously a man. The crew laughed so hard Charlie didn't get to yell cut.
I thought Christian was very interesting. He loves to LOOK at things. Michael told this story the next day when the guys went out for an after work drink. Christian was intensely looking at this motorcycle. Michael is trying to get him into the hot spot for a drink and Christian is really looking at this unique motorcycle. Finally Michael tells Christian, "OK, I'm going in, There are GIRLS in there, if you wanna look at a hunk of metal, fine!" Christian ambled in when he was good and ready.

They're trying to get a world wide release first.
Here are some response from people who were at the Seattle Film Festival:
Author: girlgeek from Washington, USA
I saw this movie at its debut at SIFF. I was very interested in seeing this independently produced movie. It was OK. There were some parts that had you laughing out loud. It's the type of movie that you may want to watch on TV for free on a rainy day. The cinematography and production value were good for an independent but the plot was disjointed, the characters a bit 2-dimensional and the story unconvincing. Also there was something about the pace of editing that felt rushed, like scenes slapped together rather than a story being told. I normally don't even notice that type of thing. I understand that a romantic comedy is supposed to be light and take you away, but I believe the best ones make you feel a real connection between yourself and the characters to make it all believable and enjoyable. It wasn't there for me. The acting on the part of the female lead was mediocre and not terribly convincing--does she love either of these men? Is she disappointed or actually hurt by any of the situations which were supposed to be affecting her? For me there were just too many times that the movie lost a personal connection due to acting or pacing and took me out of just enjoying the story. The character acting for Rachel Dratch and Michael Weatherly stole the show. They were both excellent. All in all...just OK. Perhaps not the movie that would appeal largely to the film festival crowd-so perhaps I am not the market for this.
paulala343 1 day ago (Sat Jun 11 2005 00:47:06 ) Dear Debra,
Please pass along congratulations to your cast and crew for a wonderful job. We enjoyed the world premiere of your movie tonight, and we loved how you brought it to Seattle so enthusiatically.
The Q&A was very fun and light-hearted, yet informative. And seriouly, I've never met so many people in attendence for one movie! There were lead actors, there were writers, producers, the director, the animation artist, and more... thank you for pointing out the VAGUE gal, the juice guy, and the coffee girl. It was a very fun movie and a very fun time. Thanks to all involved!
And thanks, Debra, for taking the time to post on the Imdb boards. Those of us interested in film prouction here in Seattle sometimes feel like we're in Siberia, so it's nice to have someone take time to keep us in the loop, any loop. I really appreciate your willingness talk after the Q&A as well. You seem like a very kind person, who has worked hard to reach this milestone, and I wish you much success with your film.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your visit to Seattle, and travel safe. Sincerely, Paula

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had the chance to see "Her Minor Thing" premire at the SIFF. Be porud guys, you did a wonderful job. Best of luck in the future of this brillent film.
jsmith2-1 1 day ago (Sat Jun 11 2005 11:28:46 ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My husband and I also went to the screening last night. I thought it was cute, if a little predictable. I gave it 4 out of 5 in the voting. Christian Kane did an amazing job - I may have to check out more of his work. I especially liked some of his reactions at the very end of the movie. Good luck with getting a wide theatrical release!
Debra (the producer) Hello There,
Thanks for the feedback on the movie. We thought the actors did a fabulous job. We appreciate you coming to the screening! We'd appreciate you voting on IMDB also.
Take care,
Debra --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Me: How did the Premiere in Seattle go? Living in New Zealand, I'll only get a chance to see this movie if it's well received in America
Debra (the producer) Hi There,
Both screenings went very well! Everyone laughed at the funny parts and a few parts that we hadn't intented to be funny... The girls who we asked said it was very romantic. It seemed to be well received. Estella and Christian were great answering questions about making the movie in Sacramento and it being a very supportive community. Their acting methods are more find the character going with the flow of the scene rather than more strict method acting. They said over and over again they had a great time making the film and were having a lot of fun at the Festival. We did too for that matter. We're very happy that Seattle allowed us to premiere there.

Me: Congratulations.
Any idea if or when you will be able to premiere the movie in other states and countries?
By the way, which actor fell in the Lagoon?
You mentioned that the milwaukee film festival was interested in you showing Her Minor Thing at their festival. Is this a go ahead?
Debra: Sorry, I've been crazy busy this week. We will be premiering in Sacramento, CA August 17th. We've been invited to some additional film festivals. More on this if we get accepted. (They invite you to show the film, then decide if it fits their festival line up.) I don't know about Milwaukee yet, they are still deciding.
I can't tell you who fell in the Lagoon. (; It might make the actor look klutzy! Though I can tell you Christian shared the answer with one of his fans on Friday evening. So go post the question over there and see if someone will answer you! I can tell you the person smelled very bad for rehersals and enjoyed tormenting his co-workers until we made told him to go shower!

Yes folks, I got you the answer to the Lagoon Swimmer question.

me: One of the actors fell in the Lagoon while shooting Her Minor Thing. Apparently Christian revelled who it was at the Q and A in Seattle. Can anyone reveal the secret idently of the Lagoon swimmer?
BabyKanie324 : It was Michael Weatherly!! LOL Poor guy!!
Michael's character (Tom) and Christian's (Paul) were apparently fighting over a basket ball...and he slipped and fell in!! LMAO

more from imdb.com about the Lagoon swim
It was also asked which actor it was that fell into the pond during filming and he [Christian] cracked up and told this hilarious story complete with reanactment about the anchorman character (michael) and how as he (michael) bent over to tussle over this basketball he and ck's character were fighting with, he ploped right into the pond, and was covered in as ck put it "duck *beep* and I was laughing my ass off! It was funny as hell!"

Me: So Michael took a dip in the Lagoon. How long did it take for everyone to get him to shower and change?
Debra (the producer) It was very very hot in Sacramento when we filmed. So after his "bath", he smelled and looked awful. He also truly enjoyed rehearsals. Flex kept telling him "Man, you stink!" He kept trying to cozy up to Estella. Poor Estella! Finally one of our wonderful production assistance walked Michael over to his parent's home to have him shower. He tormented us all for about an hour.
