just saw hitman tonight..... its true, they use footage from da in the into of the movie i hung around and read the credits at the end and saw "additional footage from DARK ANGEL copyright fox films all rights reserved well hitman is a fox film so i guess it was cheaper to use the old footage rather than shoot all new stuff for the film wow

WOW Finally saw Hitman they pretty much used all the Manticore scenes from the opening montage in the opening of the movie. I got to admit it was pretty cool to see it up on the big screen. Unfortunately it was all downhill from there. Shywriters favorite NPR reviewer was right when he said it pretty well stunk. Well I shouldn't say that, I left after an hour, maybe the second half of the movie was miraculously better. The action scenes were actually pretty decent. But the story and dialogue were dreadful IMO.

Maybe boring ol' NPR has its place after all! (and aren't all my 1920's & 30's movies on late night TV starting to sound better? After a couple weekends of that instead of new movies, you could practically finance your own studio...! ;D )

you mean classics like my man godfrey the maltese falcon casablanca etc.... Oh yes! You hit some great ones! Love "My Man Godfrey" and "Maltese Falcon" ... but "Casablanca" is my all time favorite movie. I've seen it probably 20 times and see something else every time that makes me love it all over again ... I have these fantasies of doing a Max & Logan story with Logan in a white dinner jacket ala Bogie, and saying to Max "here's looking at you, kid..." (Different era, but another classic is on as I type: "Dr. Strangelove." Genius. Sheer genius. ~ ~

BTW I just read about Hitman using DA footage and Wikipedia and flipped out! I made a post about it in the DA General discussion forum, but deleted it when I found this...
Anyway, thats crazy. Makes me actually want to see it for that reason only...
