Have you not red sheeps stuff yet? Its easily the greatest Tiva stuff. I believe she hasn't! 0.0 CRIME! There not light Tiva, aside from a couple of the one shots its serious Tiva followed by established Tiva. Shy you HAVE to start with hers, start off with Locked followed by Taking it For Granted, No Good Deed, Black and White etc. she lists the order in her FF Profile. Check out a the one shots as well some are real quality. No Good Deed is as I've said the best piece of fan made fic I've ever read, not just as a shippy fic but the level of suspense is brilliant. She also wrote McGee in a much cooler way then I've ever seen him written both on TV and in print. But you have to start from the beginning. Seven Seals which is a separate thread is maybe the only post Judgement Day fic I actually like.

I meant to try Richefic’s stories a while ago (looking long and episode like) but never did except for the Fruit Basket, a one shot about Tony’s family and the pest. And Mari -- nothing too vague for this thread! May be a good place to hunt for NCIS fic, too, the way we ask about DA fic on BBWW... Well, then (and you’re going to reconsider )… here’s the ultimate vagueness: I remember starting something about how Ducky got to know Gibbs, reminding me a bit of Tony which seemed like an interesting approach. In general, are there any good stories out there showing some of Gibbs’s and Ducky’s time of working together? It may just be my perception but there always seems a lot of context with them, like watching two people who’ve known and respected each other for a long time. And as true fic supporters: do we need to make a pact that when we go read an NCIS fic (as we OF COURSE do with DA fic... ) we leave a review??? Does anyone ever feel less justified / competent to leave an in any way valuable review in a fandom one doesn’t know that well? Shy you HAVE to start with hers, start off with Locked followed by Taking it For Granted, No Good Deed, Black and White etc. she lists the order in her FF Profile. Check out a the one shots as well some are real quality. How about a clone to sit in your office while you read?

Sounds like a great subject for fic, doesn't it? (and perfect "vagueness!" ) How they met, early adventures... several of the eps give us just enough to assume they've worked together for a long time -- I would think that any show of appreciation would be -- appreciated! Even if you may not have their shows memorized or know there canon as well, any review saying what you liked and/or why (maybe the dialogue is well done, or the characters seem very true to the show, or it's a clever plot -- I would think that if anything special struck you as done well the author would be pleased to know. Even telling them your reaction-- you laughed, or smiled, or it made you sad-- might be really appreciated! ;D Even better one who would actually do some of the work for me!

Pieces that You Left Behind by axolotlgirlThe story I just mentioned to you shy. Its a story in which Jeanne dies in the explosion that takes out Tony's Mustang at the end of S4 (I think, been a while since I read it ) Ziva helps him through his grief. Pretty good angsty Tony story. Very unique style of writing thats more poetic than most. Could be viewed as Tiva friendship or Tiva just in general. which leads me too.... Almost by lilmouseAnother story in which Ziva helps Tony pull himself together, this time after Gibbs quits. More in the line of Slight Tiva.

Shy you HAVE to start with hers, start off with Locked ... I tried starting with a more recent, longer story (the author we're discussing is DrawMeASheep), but at your recommendation I backed up & started again with Locked -- enjoyed (and duly reviewed ) it! I admit this foray into NCIS fic is still providing mixed results (often cos once at the site I meander into stuff listed without the screening provided by the nice rec list here...) Such a wide range of stuff .... Still haven't seen any I like better than Rictus, maybe 'cos it does what the show hasn't: it gave us the prequel of how Tony came to NCIS, all within a solid, well drawn crime plot. Still looking though! Keep those recs coming...

Since there’s just too little screen time for Abby and Ducky… are there any good Ducky or Abby stories out there, without too much shipperness of any kind and just sticking to basic NCIS fun?

I remembered this one yesterday (when squeezing my finger, strange brain ) and think I liked it: Caught between a rock and Gibbs by Florence1. Might have been recommended before…
