And then there was one I liked, a series I think, where Tony had an elder neighbor with a German name (I think), an older one still with Kate... When I first saw your post, I thought I hadn't read any fic like this -- but I do think I read it; wasn't part of it that when Kate first came to Tony's apartment, she arrived, expecting Tony to be surrounded by hot young babes, but here he had an elderly neighbor who cooked for him, etc? (and Kate found out by bringing Tony home after being injured -- or maybe after getting y pestis?) Hmmm... sadly, I remember nothing else about that, including the plot, the outcome, the title or the author (other than a vague memory that potholders were involved -- talk about weird memory!) Sorry not to be any more help....

Another one - In The Zone by riujoo. Picks up mid way through the ep where Tony and Jardine go to Iraq. Can't remember if it was 'really' good, but I had this bookmarked, so I can't be that bad, eh? And Unfaithful by Jeanne Luz although you should probably read DrawMeASheep's stuff before all these - then I can have someone else to go fangirl crazy with =) La Dee Daaa

You know, I don't think it's the one I meant, 'cos I just read the first 2 chaps and they don't sound familiar-- but ARG this one seems good & addictive! Smacking myself hard on the head, Gibbs style, to get back to work, but this will be my carrot-- work two hours, read a chap; work 2 hrs, read a chap... THANKS for the rec!! (I think...)

Thank you, yes, that’s the author, recognize the name now that I see it. Great story, too. And Shy, I think we both remember Angels and Heros and it’s sequel with Mrs. Bornemeier and her cooking. (Of course I remember the food / cooking part ;D). when Kate first came to Tony's apartment, she arrived, expecting Tony to be surrounded by hot young babes, but here he had an elderly neighbor who cooked for him, etc? I kind of like the idea and it somehow fits his character too, still kind of stressing the boyishness and bachelor life but in a more likeable way. And sorry for hijacking your thread with my vagueness instead of giving suggestions.

Sheeps stuff is the best, No Good Dead is probably the best piece of FanFic I've ever read bar none. Except for 1 chapter where Tony goes rather OOC in my opinion.

1 chapter out of 40 - still alright to me Yeah, it was sooooo good. Best fic indeed. I read them all in one go and when I said all I meant ALL the fics in that series. Except for food and toilet breaks, I was glued to my seat, fingers poised at the arrows for the next chapter and on and on and on - for several hours. Very productive way of spending the day, I thought at the time.

Okay, I know where to go next! I read "the Jagged Heart" by Kikkimax today and enjoyed her ability to capture that ongoing banter they have on the show -- (will have to check out Mr C & Griever's rec before getting to the sequel, though!) And Mari -- nothing too vague for this thread! May be a good place to hunt for NCIS fic, too, the way we ask about DA fic on BBWW... And as true fic supporters: do we need to make a pact that when we go read an NCIS fic (as we OF COURSE do with DA fic... ) we leave a review???

That is to say that I do post critical reviews of talented authors whose path for the story I think might have gone astray. Have you not red sheeps stuff yet? Its easily the greatest Tiva stuff.
