FINALLY!!!!! At least december 3rd is here as well as episode 3.09 "Cat Scratch Fever". And just as I assumed and hoped, once again we see Max in heat :DD. Loved the episode very much! The conflicts on Max's mind was awesome, but still it made me really nervous. She is totally hard head, why don't she trust Logan and just go for it, and then in the end when she finally goes for it she runs away just like a one night stand, I can understand Logan throwing stuff at walls, I know I would do the same. And thanks god that she didn't got any further with the X guy. Anyway, finally a new episode, but I'm really disappointed with the change in schedule, I'm here dying for S3 and you guys pull it off to JANUARY!!! I don't think I can handle that

That last monolog really hit home for me. I could see that a lot of Max's problems come from the fact that she really sees herself as this terrible, poisonous person. There's so much self anger, bitterness, and fear in her. No wonder she keeps Logan at arms length, even when it was in her interest to remedy her heat problem promptly, as her command duties were calling urgently.
I could empathize with Logan's frustration. Have you ever loved someone who doesn't love themselves? You can see the person's goodside easily, but they can't. When you try to offer love and affection, they turn away. The more you say "I love you," the more they think you're a fool, for only a fool could love someone bad.
It's such a hard situation. I wonder how they'll resolve it? It's this kind of spiritual journey that Max is on that really keeps me interested in this story. Will she ever learn to accept who she is and forgive herself? Or will she continue to fall into the greatest temptation of all- the belief that you are "bad" and "evil." I'm rooting for her all the way!
Oh, and nice of you to introduce some transgenic rebels. That will add tension to the story. That, along with Joshua's situation, means that pressure is coming from without and within at the same time! Poor Max. I think it will be great to see how she deals with it. In order to meet these kinds of challenges, she is going to have to pull it together personally. I think if she can move toward accepting and even appreciating herself for who she is, she will find the engergy she needs to help solve the crisis everyone is in.

In respect of the response from the rock: ;D I for one respect his right to have an opinion and I actually appreciate that it is such a detailed one. So OK, I am a shipper and will excuse my girls who write expertly for any "weak points". I must note however that television, virtual or otherwise is about entertainment of the public...the fans..while staying true to the characters being developed. I am predicitng this alec/Asha thing will string out and will e refined by future crises, alec's ego, Asha's temerity, and (eventually) a sweet romantic evening and/or hot sex (no particular order. I am also predicting an ingenious solution to the Joshua thing but...hate to be a party pooper, some grief and angst is due, so I think someone will get hurt so that the solitude and self derision that Max feels appears to be vindicated. Max is my girl but she needs to grow up and not keep shutting Logan out. It seems that even alec may grow up before her and this is frightening/necessary... I hope he can pull her up, but more importantly...I hope she listens!!!(godddammit she is stubborn) I wish all of you guys, especially the wrters, a happy holiday season and a DA VS3 inspired one!! PS thanks rock and Dark Phantom for your honesty...

Hey Star and Queen Gwen!. First of all let me say that this was a fantastic episode. I am so glad that Max's heat cycle was tackled and I really like the way that you two handled it. It would only make sense that such a cycle would create chaos for Max instead of it being a totally comical situation. I like your development of the story. Having read so much of your fics...both of you, I recognize the writing style. There is no question that for me the shipper moments are my favorite whether they be of a romantic nature or a conflict nature. I won't even try to hide behind the fact that I'm mainly interested in DA for the M/L....always have been. But I can see that the writers are trying very hard to incorporate as many other elements of what "all" the fans want. Each ep has had the "just right amount" of transgenic "kicking butt" so to speak. And I think the balance of characters is right, considering who the main players and the secondary players are. And of course this will change from ep to ep....and that is the course that any tv show will follow. You guys are on track. I particularly enjoyed this ep because it did deal so much with Logan and Max. I know this won't please everybody...but what a herculean task to appeal to everybody's taste. No tv show can deal with every character, every issue, each and every week with equal time. You can't worry about that. Every writer has their own particular style...thank goodness. There's absolutely no way you can fully stifle that...and you shouldn't. I'm referring to the other thread now about your receiving anonymous hate mail, but what you people are doing is phenomonal! For many of us, me especially, S2 was a sham and shouldn't have happened, so for myself events surrounding the familiars and White just don't matter. I speak only for myself here. I realize that's not how everyone feels, but I really think all the writers have tried very hard to keep true to fans but also input their own direction tastes and desires. What more could anyone ask? If you stay true to what we believe was the original intent of DA the majority will appreciate what you've done. For the rest the option of not reading is theirs. This was a tremendous episode. Max's personal monologues reminded me of the first season. They were a great addition. Pity they all but disappeared in S2. And the handling of her "heat" was very interesting. I want so much to delve into this couple and the many things that could play into their relationship, but I may have to rely on reading fan fics for a really in depth look. But her heat issue would have a huge bearing on their being together. I like very much what you did with it and want to see more in the future. I personally am NOT tired of Terminal City. It has so much potential for conflicts etc. I'll just wait and see how the writers play it out. And Mole is still an outstanding secondary character...always stirring things up. It makes me a bit fearful of what he and some of the others might do to Logan if they finally decided to act out their frustrations! Excellent episode, one of my favorites. It will be difficult to wait until January!

Hey,
This is my first post but I'd been reading the forum for a since first VS3 episode. Because my english is not so good i did post any message. When I knew the show was cancelled I didn't believe then I searched about something in the Web and found Virtual Season. Now I've decided to write to thank all writers for their incredible job. I liked all. You are great. Sometimes we don't agree about some situation but never mind, I totally agree with Carolyn.
There is a subject tha I want to talk. I think all people need to learn with their life experiences and I'm missing it about Max. Mainly about their relationship with Logan. They lived a lot of situations on S1 and S2. Even the "Heat" thing.
Well, sorry for the big message and for the terrible english.

Hey everyone. I just started reading V3 a couple of days ago. I don't want to read the latest ep. 'cause I haven't read episodes 5-8 yet. Is there any way to read those episodes? Or do I have to wait until the re-runs? Thanks
Schmidty
