Just one more question before I go to work. ;D Did alec deserve the treatment he got? He was made the bad guy without his knowing. He was going to tell Logan about the lie but Logan wouldn't let him. I think that alec needs to have someone cut him some slack. Anyone else think that? It has bothered me that Max was too forgiving of alec. He was the cause of too much heartache and trouble for Max. He could have interrupted Logan at any time to dispute the lie. But that's alec. He always takes the easy road. I hope Max continues to kick his butt around Terminal City for a few more eps. We know that Logan will forgive alec. alec is emotionally immature and I hope the writers of VS3 don't all of a sudden change him into a responsible human being. He is neither.

I'm gonna be completely honest here: alec's personality is that of of a thirteen year old boy. Not kidding. I hang around people like that all day.
I happen to think that alec deserves anything he gets, especially from Max and Logan. alec just happens to generally cause problems around those two.

scirta: The site was certainly a labor of love for both Connie and me. The current look is a toned-down version of what I had outlined and sketched a few weeks ago; this idea was dramatically toned down from the first "original idea". My limited knowledge in coding delimited other possibilites for design and effect. The site was originally conceived to be Flash-intensive, but Connie and I have had no or little Flash experience. I did not want to bite more than I could chew.
As I was designing the site, I had to take sort of a crash course in hand coding on my own (more like trial and error actually), viewing the codes of other sites, searching the web to find codes for certain effects that I wanted to employ onto the site. For awhile, I thought I was not going to pull it off. Making the VS3 site was definitely a learning experience. I certainly am a little more knowledgeable of web design than I was prior to the VS3 site.
You should take courses in web design; although frustrating, it is certainly fun and it is satisfying to see the finished product.
BTW, Aveta's picture will be in her profile soon. ;D

Scrib - VS3 is a magnificent viewing experience. It's a gourmet treat for the eyes.
It truly brings back the flavor of season one which I so needed.

First of all...YAY. ;D I loved most of it, true to the show and well-written. I'm so excited about the next episode...teeheeeee greatness. I do have to agree that the "I love you" came a little too fast, though. Yes, they've waited a long time, but that entire subplot felt rushed and forced. I was expecting it to be dragged out over the course of a few episodes, with Max expressing her feelings in 3.3 or 3.4 or even 3.5, and would have preferred it that way. On another note... alec is emotionally immature and I hope the writers of VS3 don't all of a sudden change him into a responsible human being. He is neither. Yeah, he's immature...but he's learning and growing. Most people don't remain children forever; I wouldn't expect him to remain as such, either. As long as the "change" is dragged out over the course of the season, so as to show growth and evolution, I don't see there being anything wrong with it. And dude, to say he's not even a human being...wow, harsh much? Lol.

I'm so glad to see that many of you enjoyed the first episode and are looking for more...this was definitely a labor of love and I think more work than any of us had anticipated.
It has been an amazing experience to work on the series so far and I love that we are able to share it with all of you (as I write this, we're working on episode 8).
I hope you all come back each week and we continue to have these amazing conversations.
Dark Angel does NOT have to die!!!

Hey, even though I read the first episode several times during the process, the chase through the sewers still gave me chills.
BTW, as of Wednesday evening, the site has almost 12,500 hits.
Well done!

the site is very very nice! i really like what you did to the format, it's so beautiful!
the episode was good, i think the max/logan romance was a bit too fast but it wasn't completely out of character, i liked how you kept OC, alec, and max in their character, their lines seemed to fit really well! it was a good plot line, short, but then again, we can't expect you to write like 50 pages here! i liked it, im looking forward to the next episode!

Ok just finished reading the french version (good job orchidee ), it's still a little too shippy for me but that'll do for now, please don't make it as lovetalkful in the next eps, i don't wan't to feel like watching a soap Through the translation the writing (style, dialog, descriptions ...) looked very good, i'll take a look at the original version when my eyes won't burn from lack of sleep. Congratulations to Scrib and whoever helped to transform the VS3 site's design, i was amazed when i saw the new version last night ;D Keep up the good work PS : don't make alec look too much like a boyscout ... that's just not his style ... please

Did any one think that Logan was a bit to harsh in this episode? Well to remember how Max behaved when she learned of Logan ‘lying’ (near similarity) to her in FT, I wouldn’t say that his actions were any harsher than how she was back then. It takes a little effort though to recall how things have been altogether between them. Just one more question before I go to work. ;D Did alec deserve the treatment he got? He was made the bad guy without his knowing. He was going to tell Logan about the lie but Logan wouldn't let him. I think that alec needs to have someone cut him some slack. Anyone else think that? You know I did feel badly for him in thinking that he did not know what it was that he was being made into the bad guy for this time. He was in an indefensible position simply because he was ignorant to that fact. You said it yourself, he *was* going to tell Logan back in LATR. At the same time I’m also of the mind that says that alec needs to get dropped down a peg or two. Even though in TBA and HG he was dealt some doses of cruel reality, his character in S2 still seemed to get overly egotistical. I can’t say that I was liked seeing any of that. Which leads me to an important point (IMO). Labyrinth has to have been just about the most difficult VS3 ep to have been written. It is by way of being the first one, that which could not hope to deal with all the questions left from S2. To try and decide what it was that would be included had to be a vexing task, then there was the small matter of having a plot driven story. (And you know that I'm probably only scratchihg the surface on all the rest of what else they had to contend with) To think that none of the preceding DA eps were themselves perfect, means to me that any criticism of Moonshadow and Star should ONLY be of the constructive variety.

Home, I wasn't trying to be critical. I just was trying to generate some discussion. I'm sorry if it sounded critical.
