I apologize for not announcing it on this thread, but I believe that I said something about it on either the fundraising thread or ad publicity thread.
I e-mailed HR and said that we are going to wait until all of the money has been raised for the cost of the ad. I am hoping that we could raise the money by early September and put out the ad then. She told me to tell her ASAP when we're ready so that she could give us good placement.

We have raised $2435.50 so far so we need another $565.50 and we can go ahead with the ad - so tell all your friends to click on PayPal and donate a few dollars - we will have it in no time if everyone were to do that!
;D ;D

I received an e-mail from HR that September would be a good month to release our print ad:
"Hi Trisha - just following up with you regarding your ad. Next month would be a great time to run your ad as Emmy Season is here and the network heads will all be reading (as they usually do) our paper front to back. Please let me know if you would like me to send you anything additional.
Best regards, Maryam"

In case you still want to add additional languages, "thank you" in Indonesian is "terima kasih." I loved the ad!

Well, it's set in stone. The print ad will be released in the September 20th edition of the Hollywood Reporter. I am going to talk with the HR rep about how others can order their copy of the HR with the ad in it. Don't quote me on this, but I think is going to cost about $5.50 total (includes shipping and handling).
Thank you all for your support!

The ad looks excellent! I really love the quote about Fox finally having a sci-fi hit. Wonder what they will be thinking as they sit in the back of their limos on the way to the Emmys...... Heeheehee ;D

scirta: Crikey!! I totally did not notice that. D*mn! And I had to resend that one to the HR production staff. Well, the three lines do stick out, but I guess, it does kind of fit in a little bit. If someone asks about them, I will say that those three lines represent the THREE seasons that should have been. I cannot believe I had not seen that at all.

scirta: If someone asks about them, I will say that those three lines represent the THREE seasons that should have been. Shh... Deep breaths. I told you, I had to print it out on A3 and stare at it for 3 days before I noticed it. As much as I'm sure the execs will look at the ad, I doubt anyone is going to do what i did. Nobody else in here seemed to see those lines and it really doesn't bother anyone. My fault, should have printed it out earlier. This weekend everybody who came in asked about that gorgeous mini poster on my wall. I'll stick up a few around the college campus. Again, that ad is really breathtaking, it makes a very strong first impression and keeps the attention for a long while. It's like every time you look at it you see something new that lends itself to interpretation. I'm on day 4 and I'm still not tired of staring at it - and really, as much of a nitpicker as I am, i really can't see anything else except how well it was done. Plus, you got it covered, they should have given us 3 seasons and those lines/bars are right there to spell it out for us.;D I loved the idea of that grid in the first place - it says so much about the post- Pulse world and Max's position in it.

I think the advertisement is really great the way it is but I would have like to have seen that the originally and uniqueness of the concept and theme of the series was mentioned and that it was a little more forciful in the request for the renewal for a third season and beyond or a TV movie to give the many devoted fans some closure to the untold storylines that were left dangling. Lets hope that we get some reaction of the people involved specifically that genius at Fox namely Berman.

I guess it's time to email Oprah again. The more people that know the ad is going to be in HR the better

It is still the 19th here on the West Coast, but for the East Coast, the 20th has finally arrived. I want to thank everyone for their support, patience, and their wallets for making the print ad a reality. With the ad being released tomorrow/today, it is like wow--we did it! There is no way that anyone can ignore a $3000 full-page ad. Let's hope and pray that we hear from them. And don't forget to e-mail the heck out of the respective mailboxes about this ad!! A big round of applauses and woo-hoos to everyone on this campaign!

For anyone who happens to get their copy of the HR, I wonder if they wouldn't mind posting about the ad for the sake fo those who can't get a copy. Anything like the placement of it and how it ended up looking (hopefully no change from what we've seen) might be appreciated by some of the DAR fans.
