Thanks, SW, but it may change in order to fit to HR's guidelines. I am hoping that it won't change so much.

Scribbled_Musings, that is truly AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I have just a few things to say are you going to capatalize Entertainment Weekly and TV Guide? also, do you think you making "Dark Angel" a little bigger and perhaps put a bigger space between both of the words would make the ad any better? Just some suggestions, you've done such an awesome job on the ad!!!!!!! I wish we could get the funds for it right now!

I have been e-mailing back and forth with an ad rep over at HR. She has been really nice and helpful.
I am going to be sending her a copy of the ad, to give her a rough idea about what the ad looks like, and perhaps she could tell me if the ad is following their guidelines. I will let you know what she tells me on Monday. I am also hoping that she could give me a rough estimate of the ad cost so that it will not overshoot the funds that are currently being raised.
stargurl: When I make the final revisions this weekend, I will check out the suggestion you made about separting the words in Dark Angel.
Star: That's cool. I had a couple of years of desktop publishing experience, but I did not have to deal with a lot of nitpicky specs either.
The ad rep asked me on what day we want to put out the ad. I think there are particular ad rates depending on which day of the week the ad is released. Do you guys have an idea as to which day we want the ad released? Perhaps it is a question best left unanswered until the funds of the ad are all in.

Oh wow, wow, wow, wow, WOW!! I'm in a totally exclaiming mood for seeing that 'final' version. I love the look of the Thank You's. I am so hopeful that the HR specs won't have to mean that you change it very much. Regarding that, I am deferring to you and what you have seen of ads that run there. (i.e. the thing you mentioned about the untrimmed full bleeds) While not trying to supplant the democratic process, I am just fully confident in your ability Scrib to make the right decision about such a thing and that the finished product will turn out to be as outstanding as it even is right now. Or better.
On a second look at it I have to ask about the opening text of the paragraph. I am wondering if it is correct in the ' Thank You to Thank James Cameron…' part. Personally I liked where you had said 'We Wish to Thank James Cameron…' in that same space of the ad's version that was on the last thread.

Home: Oops, thanks for catching that. ;D Gonna fix that now.
HR may ask me to cut down on the lines of text on the ad. I think I read somewhere that they charge per line. Well, I will see what the ad rep has to say.

It looks fantastic! I love it just the way it is! By the end of this month we should have some money coming in so I can add some to your fund (don't blow the bank, though - I have kids).

Not sure, but include the ones you know for sure. There should definitely be one in Japanese, but I couldn't find it.

Great, thanks for taking the time to read my post! I still can't get over great this ad is!
Scrib- About deciding what day to put the ad on, I agree with you on waiting until we get the funds for it, and then we can wait until we get the estimated price and the prices for each day! Do you think they have any statistics on the day most people read the newspaper?

stargurl: For the most part, The Hollywood Reporter is a subscriber-based, although some booksellers sell the magazine in their shelves. It is an important industry paper and the fact that it is subscriber-based, I think it has a pretty steady readership, so depending on which day the ad will be put out, it will still be read by thousands of industry personnel. I have a feeling that Cameron reads HR on a regular basis as many directors/producers do. I bought an issue a couple of months ago and they did a large feature on him about his undersea film project.

hello
the second season of DA just started here in Ireland on Saturday night so I'm taping it to keep me going in the dry spell until our campaign succeeds.
Here is another translation for your ad Scrib
"Go raimh maith agat" = thank you in Gaelige (Irish)
Plus I really like the ad and would like to say to you personally - "Maith thú Scrib, agus Sláinte chugat" - which means - Well done and good health to you.
Take care Nevyn
