its meant to be summer here, but it feels like winter. And supposed to be winter here, but feels like summer -- both Friday and Saturday nights at Christmas parties, more people outside on the deck/patio/backyard than inside. Even after a dozen Christmas seasons here in the Deep South, it still feels weird to this Yankee! (Where's all the snow and freezing temps???)

Lots of rain down here too - but thankfully it has been alternating with very warm days. Not so good is apparently it has been perfect weather for breeding spiders Xmas day predicted to be 30C / 86F

Ended up having a really hot, humid and wet Christmas. Flash flooding and storms all day.

crazy weather here there is snow in the south island also some in some parts of the north, and this morning there was ice on the cars and its spring.

We were teased with a few days of Spring - but Winter came back with vengeance! I really need to thaw out.

We are in a drought here last time we saw rain was at the start of December, they say we could get rain in April sometime. Everything is brown nothing green grass and trees are dying off.

Wow, hope it rains over there for you soon.
We're just had the most consecutive days over 30C ever in Melbourne. 36C at 10pm at night gets boring very quickly. Quite amazing considering that its Autumn!

i hope so too, we have never been this bad some places are getting fries and farmers are force to sell there stock.
they say its going to rain on sunday and monday we hope they are right this time and its good lasting rain.

its not alot to get us out of the drought but still helps, our capital city only has about 18 days of water left. they say that it will take New Zealand 3 years to recover.
South Island has been warned about droughts too now.
