I'll start the new thread with some of the old stuff from the old thread. From maria in ALASKANow that Maria relocated to Alaska she could keep us entertained with all sorts of antics. Like taking a dogsled to work everyday. ;D or maybe one of these. I wonder if Maria fishes. Or skies. Southern California has some weather, at last. It's been beautifully sunny and warm almost everyday since last April, and now TAH DAH! We have weather. It's been raining softly all night and, so far, up to 11:20 am. My plants needs water badly since we're on voluntary water restriction. All the ashes from the Malibu fires is washing off my house and trees and running into the gutters. The Pacific Ocean will be full of ashes.

So happy to have good news for this shiny new thread: Yesterday ended the 2007 Atlantic hurricane season!!...second quiet one in a row for our neck of the woods, much to everyone's relief. Our December first will be in the 70's, tomorrow in the 80's... (my 8th Christmas season in the Deep South and still, having spent so many of them just a minute or two away from Spikeloud, I still am not used to watching people shop for Christmas trees in shorts and flip flops! )

Yeah, a bottle of Grey Goose will be fine.
I'm still in town. I canceled my flight yesterday because it was raining. And raining and raining and raining.
Now I'm moving over to the Let's Talk About What's Happening In Your Life thread to go into detail and bore you all to death.

I'm still in town. I canceled my flight yesterday because it was raining. And raining and raining and raining. No doubt citing documented scientific data that planes can't fly when wet.

thats because water "falls"....hehe
whats that saying? why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly
reminds me of that movie where you have snoop dogg as the pilot of an airline

allthough i could get used to christmas shopping in shorts and flipflops , providing the weather is good for that Spikey, it was: this ex-pat Hoosier drove downtown with a friend for boutique Christmas shopping, top down in the convertible; had lunch on an outdoor patio without coats or sweaters; came out of a shop to find there was a parade threading though the streets... ...and I was wearing sandals. Dunno if I will ever get used to it. I'm not complaining, mind you, just never know if I'll get used to it.

I actually got invited snow machining and ice fishing [has to get colder for the ice fishing (can you imagine colder than -6F)] Once I get my ski bibs and an IV of hot chocolate I'll be ready. I can tell I'm starting to get used to the weather, because when it goes up to 30F, I say "it's warm out"! PS to Spikeloud - don't have to worry about the polar bears, but the wolves and lynx are out At least for the bears, the buggy would protect you. www.wildlifeadventures.com/photo_gallery/photo_gallery.php?recordID=52#galleryPS to Shy - people wear flipflops and no sleeves when it's 30F up here; must be made of sterner stuff than I am. To me 30F just means I wear my thin wool socks instead of the thick ones and a long sleeve T-shirt with a fleece hoodie, but the coat is in the car just in case.
