I liked Sports Night but haven't seen it in forever. They used to have reruns on comedy Central but haven't showed any for years ( that I'm aware of ). Action was awesome ( just heard Jay Mohr on the radio this moring....rude, crude and pretty funny just like on Action) Never heard of Threshold

Never heard of Threshold I think I watched a few eps of Threshold when it aired down here. It was one of those shows that was relegated to the midnight time slot because it had some 'sci fi' themes. (Couldn't possibly have a sci fi type show on before midnight could we?) From memory I think the show was cancelled before the storyline was completed. Is that right?

I blabbered about Threshold on What New Shows Will You Be Watching and got all grouchy thinking about networks and cable canceling MY shows. ( mumble, mumble, those rat bastards, grumble, grumble.) I usually check out this site www.tvshowsondvd.com/ to find out what's coming up - then I scoot over to Amazon and pre-order. Does anyone out there know of a site that lists movies and the dates they'll be released on DVD? If you don't will someone do a search for me. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.

older movies I have watched recently? Touch of Evil don't know why I had never seen this before because I've seen most of Orson Welles other movies and liked them. I finally caught this on TCM, liked it ok, it's a great looking film but it's hard to get past Charlton Heston playing a Mexican national. Also tried watching On the Waterfront , it was interesting and you could tell Brando was great in the lead role but I was bored and quit halfway through. Better than those two I finally got around to seeing The Darjeeling Limited and enjoyed it very much. It's pretty typical of Wes Anderson's other movies so if you didn't like them then you won't like this. I however have always enjoyed his movies. I would rank his films...... RushmoreBottle RocketThe Darjeeling Limited The Royal Tenenbaums The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissounot sure why I would be ranking them but there you go

I'm watching older movies and TV shows on DVD - I'm stuck in the past. I'm watching Witchblade on DVD, an older TNT series. The 2 hour movie was shown in August of 2000, then picked up as a summer series of 23 episodes in 2001 and thru the summer of 2002. The lead character, Sara Pezzini and Max Guevara from DA are my favorite female heroes of all time. Nikita, from the TV series La Femme Nikita, is a close runner up. When I saw the Witchblade movie and they played "Mysterious Ways" by U2 and "She Cries Your Name" by Beth Orton I was completed hooked. It's the only Sci Fantasy I've ever liked, I'm usually a Sci Fi viewer all the way. Whoops, I meant SyFyThey didn't cut any of the music from the DVD of the movie, which served as the pilot, but they slashed their way through great music throughout the DVD. Oh well, that happens. I would take Witchblade with me to the Desert Island

When I saw the Witchblade movie and they played "Mysterious Ways" by U2 and "She Cries Your Name" by Beth Orton I was completed hooked. Very clever, mentioning it has music that you know I love. But I'm not watching. And I do love that music, two of my all time favorite artists. That said the new U2 sounds like crap IMO as was their last cd. But Beth Orton has never let me down, I'm completed hooked. ;D The difference between Sci Fantasy and Sci Fi? It's September already? Que?

Science Fiction vs Science Fantasy. Hmmm, without giving it too much thought – one is based in Science and the other in magic. In Science Fiction there are usually scientific facts. I see it as based in physics. Dark Angel, X-Files, Earth Final Conflict, Threshold, “V” and the Mini-series Taken are some of my favorite Sci Fi. Fantasy is supernatural, ghosts, vampires, the TV show ‘Lost’ and Harry Potter. Fantasy ignores the laws of science. Dark Angel is science fiction and Witchblade is Fantasy. Witchblade episodes had titles like Parallax, Conundrum, Periculum, Convergence, Transcendence, Veritas, and Palindrome. ;D dzero– I don’t think you would like Witchblade. I would never recommend it to you. Not even the episode ‘Legion’ with Roger Daltrey playing the part of Satan, disguised as a priest. Witchblade is filled with cheesiness but I loved every little bite of it. It is visually stunning and the music filled me with satisfaction. Not just the music, but all the audio, which was very weird at times. I couldn't get into Buffy or Angel - Fantasy - yet loved the Stephen King book and movie, Salem’s Lot, about Vampires. About 20 of my peeps would get together every Tuesday night at my house to watch Dark Angel. (I bought a big screen TV for the occasion.) I watched Witchblade alone. Now rewatching with a friend.

Admittedly I've never watched Lost but I don't see how that could be considered Fantasy, I mean its essentially Lord of the Flies with adults.

A giant polar bear on a tropical island. Dead bodies coming and going. The Temple and the smoke monster. And some big monster that you can hear but can't see - who sounds like a T-Rex, who can pick people up with his mouth, take a bite and spit 'em out. And I've only seen 3 eps in the first season, and one ep each in the next seasons. I have the first 3 seasons on DVD and intend to watch them someday, but they're way down on my list. The Island has more people running around than most cities. You can't always see them but they pop up when you least expect them. Pshaw.

I've stuck with Lost through thick and thin and finally now I'm reaping the rewards. I'm loving the latest series - and it's even more bizarre than ever. Now they're time travelling!
