I like comic book movies - well, I used to like 'em. First we get Tubby Maguire as Peter Parker. . . . No comment about MJ. I saw K. Dunce at a music festival out in the desert in 2009 and she looked just like that, only drunker. . . . Now we're getting Sucky Rogen as the Green Hornet. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa He's a funny guy and I wish him lots of luck. I need cheering up.

Aerie they're rebooting the Spiderman franchise and recasting it completely. They're far too many rumors about who would be playing Parker for me to even pick a favorite. As for MJ my vote would be for the girl thats currently playing Rick Castle's daughter on (you guessed it) Castle. I doubt the studio would give it to her as she actually is under 18 which makes playing her up as a comic book love interest seem slghtly lecherous but shes (so far as I know a natural redhead) and kind of adorable, not to mention since they're going back to Parker's high school years she's actually young enough to fit the bill and can grow with the character. As for the Green Hornet the trailer for that film just came out tonight and can be found by clicking this link. Personally I think it looks kinda cool, I'm really intrigued by the fight scenes as filmed by the mad genius Michael Gondry. Seth Rogen is as always Seth Rogen, the guy they got playing Kato looks pretty cool too but he's no Steven Chow who was supposed to take the role. One thing I'm really not looking forward to is Cameron Diaz, shes really not aging well. On the plus side Christop Waltz aka Hans Lada makes an appearance as the villian, either that or he's playing a reincarnated Dennis Hopper.

Saw Inception and enjoyed it. Pretty much The Matrix meets Memento and those are two of my favorite movies so I was happy . Kinda want to go back and see it at an IMAX theater.

It is epic, and well worth seeing in IMAX, film geek that I am I actually went to the midnight opening night IMAX screening.

I was mildly impressed with 500 Days of Summer, it wasn't great but it was fun and Josephy Gordon-Levitt has become one of the few actors who I'll attempt to see pretty much everything he makes. Ever since I saw Brick I've been convinced hes going to be one of the greats. Zoey Dechanel is also pretty cute in indie-hipster sorta way.

Caught up with a couple films, Jackass 3D was just what you'd expect and I loved it ;D. The 3d was unnecessary IMO and unimpressive to be honest but as a fan of the first two this was excactly what I wanted from a third.
Also saw and loved The Social Network. Just an excellent film. I know there are some Aaron Sorkin fans here and this film is a must for them. Great dialogue and acting. Oh and kinda off topic but facebook the website...kinda sucks. Am I the only one in the world who doesn't like it?

Oh and kinda off topic but facebook the website...kinda sucks. Am I the only one in the world who doesn't like it? No, I hate that it won't let me get on & look around without becoming a member first (I know, I know -- it's free, blahblahblah). I'm just cranky enough that I don't want to "buy" if they don't let me kick the tires & drive it around the block first.) Plus, it's just -- meh. Lots of better places to go pester people! But (back on topic) love Sorkin -- and since the the kid from Arrested Development is what's his name, I was curious anyway. Will have to check it out. ;D And parenthetically -- bet you HAVE had macaroni & cheese before -- it's just that you SoCal hot shots call it "fettuccine Alfredo!"

Firstly the inability to explore the sight before registration is part of the point of the sight. It is in the truest sense of the word social-networking, i.e. you can't explore the network unless your a part of it. I was for a long time against Facebook, until I moved to another continent and was looking for ways to stay in touch with people back home. As for the film itself I thought it was terrific, one of the best scripts I've seen (or rather heard) in years. Coupled with the fact that it was shot by one of, if not, my favorite director who did brilliantly to communicate different modes and tones throughout the film. Like for instance the way whenever Timberlake's character shows up everything feels slicker and glossier, just the way he shoots those scenes makes you feel the larger than life aura that surrounds Zuckerberg, or the way the Harvard scenes feel desaturated, as though your dreaming Zuckerberg's darker struggles to make a name for himself. Hell even the scenes with the Winklevos twins (Arnie Hammer should get awards for those performances) you can feel the way they're ubber athleticism gives the scenes a sort of hyper-awareness. Also shywriter I'm not sure who you think from the film was in Arrested Development but I think your thinking of Michael Cera who isn't in the Social Network. Jessie Eisenberg is the guy playing Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. That being said I know your a big Sorkin fan shy and you definitely need to see this, his writing here is on par with his best work on the West Wing, Sportsnight and Studio 60. The opening scene where Zuckerberg gets dumped is vintage Sorkin, rapid fire dialogue that cuts so quick its tough to keep up.

I seriously thought they cast twins wow yeah if that was one guy he deserves an award Yeah I was going to say something about the opening scene being the best but that sounds a little like slamming the rest of the film which I'm not, it's just that the opening was f^cking spectacular.
