PS shywriter you need to see this then we can PM each other a couple dozen more times. Meh, unlikely that will happen-- as the folks here have heard more than they care to, I'm into the moldy oldies. (perfect example: just had one of hubby's colleagues here for dinner -- an older single female -- and after dinner we got rid of hubby and pulled out "Roxanne." --a classic! )

Saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall last night and enjoyed it very much. Thought it was similar in tone to Knocked Up, though not quite as funny. Still very funny though. The film also has some beautiful Hawaiian locations and even more beautiful actresses. Having said that the film has more male nudity than female . All the women seemed to think this was more funny than sexy. ;D Also saw Bank Job a while ago. Good crime film, a must for any Jason Stathem fans.

Did anybody here see In Bruges? I saw it when it first came out and loved it but it seems destined to cult classic status as it didn't do well commercially and no one i know saw it. I thought it was brilliant by far Colin Farrell's best work, brilliantly written, hysterical and a good story.
I cant wait for the Dark Knight eather, Heath Ledger's version of the Joker looks SOO creepy and awesome its such a shame hes no longer with us as I'm fairly certain this will be my favorite work of his career.

But I went a month or two without getting out to the movies and this was gone from the theaters by the time I started going again.

I just watched "Before Sunrise" for the million time. I just love this movie and the second one "Before Sunset". They are not widely popular and not many people get these movies but IMO these movies are so brilliant, amazingly deep and real. Real art! I also love "Walk The Line". I thought it was really good but again anything about Johnny Cash seems good to me. He was a legend. It's sad though that the movie focuses on the time that he was messed up and not so much after that. He turned his life around and i would have loved to see that in the movie.

I Know what you mean about it feeling more real than other movies, even other movies that I love don't compare to Before Sunrise in this lifelike feeling. Of course I never did meet a French girl on a train and flirt with her . I did meet a Columbian girl on a plane and flirt with her , nice but not the same.

I met a Scotsman on a train, and I think we were both flirting... of course, his brogue was so thick, I'm not sure exactly what we were doing... (Oh. That's off topic, isn't it? Where's the damn 'being slutty on public transportation' thread when you need it??? )

Well if you don't know then his brogue couldn't have been that thick. ;D ;D ;D ;D OK to get this back onto movies ... I saw Iron Man this weekend and enjoyed. Lots of fun, great to see Robert Downey Jr. get such a good leading role. Anybody looking for a good film of his should check out Kiss Kiss Bang Bang . Before the film they had the trailer for the new hulk movie, I thought it looked pretty good , everyone else seems to think it looks like a big stinker but I am looking forward to it.

From his movies i only watched "At First Sight" many years ago and it made me really love him! Back to Robert Downey, this is an article about him. It's intersting because he talks about his father and his past. He went through a lot. And he also talked about "Iron Man". news.yahoo.com/page/parade-rdj/rdj

Top secret is a classic. Kilmer is such a good actor he should really get back into the Comedies. I wondered what happened to him in the late 90's after The Saint he kind took a dive career wise and he let himself go a bit. Hes done better the past few years with Spart, Kiss Kiss and Deja Vu.
