From this week's T.V. Guide. You are doing a terrific job with Mega Buzz, but nowhere have I seen anything mentioned about NCIS and the paper the new director took out of a file (I thought it was his own?) and destroyed. Can you scoop the significance of it? — Al Matt: First of all, Al, thank you for the kind words about the column. Mickey and I find great joy and take tremendous pride in it. As for your query, you impressed the heck out of NCIS executive producer Shane Brennan: "Yes, the paper is significant — very significant — and yes, it did come out of the director's personal file," he tells the Buzz. "Will we find out what it really means? Yes! This season? Maybe. Will it shed new light on Director Vance? You betcha!" From this week's USA Weekend. On the season finale of "NCIS," Gibbs' team of DiNozzo, McGee and Ziva were reassigned. Will the show return with new characters? Joyce Allagood, Tallahassee "NCIS" is back on CBS Sept. 23, and you'll see the aforementioned trio, plus three newbies, reporting to Gibbs. Fans also will see a lot more of newly promoted "NCIS" director Leon Vance, played by Rocky Carroll. "[Leon] is used to being hands-on in the field, and suddenly he's in this sort of political, administrative position. So it's going to be a major adjustment for him," says Carroll, 45. Apart from "NCIS," Carroll also can be seen later this year as Jim Carrey's boss in the comedy "Yes Man." "Jim Carrey is his own gag reel. Even if it's on the script, it's still got the same hilarious result as an outtake." Here's the link, www.usaweekend.com/celebs/whos_news/index.html
