You just woke up, you have a song stuck in your head, and you need bug spray??

You can use "it's Monday" as your excuse.
Mondays should be illegal.
Wow, we're really OT now. Ummm...okay, I got it. The bug spray is for Joss Whedon and his fruitfly, which pertains to the topic because the bug got DA's spot on account of Fox, the inspiration for "The Network Executive's Guide to Alienating Viewers for Dummies."
How's that?

It's still Sunday for me - so I have an hour before I'm allowed to use the "Monday" excuse. I hope I make it.

Star - did you ever send this to scifi.com? I bet they'd print it as a letter to the editor! It is so perfectly on target and funny!

I'd love for this to go to space view. HAve to go look up the addy. Oh, and re: network executives, this is from: www.dynamicforces.com/htmlfiles/dfnews.html#24071202: "Leslie Hope (actress, 24) says she was written out of the plot because Fox wants more ?beautiful women in their 20s? on the show." Now I know what the policy is... Though I really don't get where Firefly comes iinto this... Don't see anything there to fit the bill. Unless they mean the spacecraft. Then their audience will be just that: male cars at the junk yard.

Spoiler for '24' ahead - if you are watching the show and haven't seen the end yet do not read!!!
While I cheerfully admit that I loved '24', I was terribly pissed off when they killed off Jack's wife at the end. It made me doubt whether I wanted to watch another season of it - it was obviously a way to get him a new love interest the next season. Doesn't surprise me that they want someone young enough to be his daughter for that part - that is Hollywood for you! I saw an ad for a new Clint Eastwood movie last night and the first question I had was 'How old is his love interest - 22?'

Star24 I totally agree with everything you said I would suggest you might want to send your guide for Network dummies to the Corporate Parent of the Fox Network which is The News Corporation Limited the Head Office is located at 2 Holt Street, New South Wales 2010 Sydney Australia, I have been unable to locate an email address but they do have a fax number which is (212) 852-7145 and their phone number is (212) 852-7059. I hope this information is still correct it from their corporate web site and the information is more than a year old. It just go to show you how stupid Fox is I think everyone would agree that Jessica and Dark Angel has an international fan base and the corporation that owns the Fox Network is an international media conglomerate with television networks in Europe, England , Australia and New Zealand as well as North America in addition to their cable holdings and they still allowed Fox to cancel a series that has an substanial following worldwide however I doubt whether Fox tells the corporate parent what shows they are cancelling however News Corporation was bragging about their new series of 2000/2001 one of which was Dark Angel.
