Here's 1 am, 83°f and 75% humidity. God, I HATE summer in this city I can’t even imagine / have the usual winter amnesia of forgetting how heat feels like – so let’s swap. ;D It was – 12 ° C / 10 ° F when I went out this morning around 9 and am walking around for weeks with more layers than aesthetically acceptable. (And -33 °C / -27 °F in parts of Bavaria ) Ahhh, you see, that's my problem, there's a point where there's nothing else to take off...without going to jail, of course. ;D

the Heat wave seems to be over, we had thurder and lighting last night, and we had rain. Heh, us too! and we're in "winter" here! (to a party last night in sandals -- arrival 7 PM in thunderstorm & mid 70s F. Left at midnight in sandals, no rain & just under 50 F. At least no wet socks! ;D) ~ ~ (currently 41 F and watching the natives shiver, bundled up in down parkas... )

Ahhh, you see, that's my problem, there's a point where there's nothing else to take off...without going to jail, of course. ;D See, another reason you should come over. ;D The upside of the cold is really clean, dry air (22 % humidity this morning). (to a party last night in sandals -- arrival 7 PM in thunderstorm & mid 70s F. Left at midnight in sandals, no rain & just under 50 F. At least no wet socks! ;D) So unimaginable… My feet have three pairs of socks (and I don’t like the sock-feeling in first place ) and are still cold .

so cold here. the beer was freezing on the trucks Severe weather alerts for the past couple days, warning us that it's "plummeting" down to the THIRTIES (0 c.) tomorrow and may even ( gasp!) hit the TEENS in a couple days... (with apologies to Maria, Mari, Spikeloud, and anyone else living where it really gets cold... )Edited to add, from the National Weather Center:
"COLD ARCTIC AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION EARLY THURSDAY AND BRING THE COLDEST AIR TO THE AREA SINCE 2003. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL STRUGGLE TO MAKE IT OUT OF THE 40S ... THIS WILL BEGIN AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME WHERE THE TEMPERATURES REMAIN NEAR OR BELOW FREEZING."
(sorry to keep on about this, but am still stunned that people here find this cold... They keep their air conditioning well below this in the summer!! )

We have been enjoying a heatwave; temps above Freezing, even hit 40F twice. Nice to go out in just a sweatshirt, but I have to cook the food from the porch ;-)

I’m fed up with winter and there’s no end in sight. Frozen car windows, enough layers of clothing to be unpractical and still freezing, having to walk instead of using the bike, ice layers on sidewalks and streets... (Would be handier to just go out with skates, not too mention that fraction-less ice isn't all that handy for starting the car on a hill with the handbrake locked ) Okay, frosty, snowy landscapes look nice in the sun, but not much time to use it when the sun goes up at 10 AM and down at 2 in the afternoon. I want skirts and shirts and sandals. the [very small] plus side is the food that I can't fit in the fridge I can keep on the porch. I’m using the window sill as a fridge extension all the time, for at least half of the year – so far nobody has been struck dead by one of my huge pots of veggies. ;D Yummy for frozen Brussels sprouts looking like dead, frozen frogs in a pond.

82 degrees and sunny blue skies here in Southern California. I'm relocating, much better than - 8 °C and sunny blue skies.

Weather fairies don’t like me. Tuesday when I had to drive through mountains and forests it stormed, wind gusts up to 160 km/h and rain coming horizontally, today, after I decided that I need city distraction, it snows like this . Want summer.

I guess you know summer is still far when instead of looking up to a signpost the signs are at about ankle height when you walk past them on the snow…
