I much prefer the cold I'm not sure I could live some place that had more 90+ degree days than sub 40 degree days. But then again I was born and raised in New England. I'm far to big and too Irish for a tropical climate.

i'll trade ya the snow we got here in indiana for the snow you got in so-cal dzero even swap sorry, i just got home from work...driving the beer semi on roads of ice...i felt like i was in that tv show "ice road truckers" i wish i could afford to live in santa monica or west hollywood, didnt mean to go off topic (moved you here cos I was gonna mention weather anyway...) Today -- 6 days before Christmas -- I was and wore sandals & a t shirt to go Christmas shopping. Spikeloud, I know how bad driving on ice can be in a car, and can't imagine trying it in a beer truck (be careful out there!!) -- but the 77 degrees we had today (68 now at 1:40 am; windows still open!) just ain't right...

It is -49-50F depending on which site I check right now, the coldest I've experienced yet. Now I have to bundle everyone up to go to the store and the bank. [the ^smiley isn't exactly accurate since your breath will freeze at this point - it's more like this ] the [very small] plus side is the food that I can't fit in the fridge I can keep on the porch. [yes, I'm grasping at straws]

Yesterday high 60's cloudy, low to mid 70's sunny today. Typical winter goes back and forth. jobs? haven't checked in a while but normally there are plenty of job openings but a lot of people applying. If you're really serious instead of Santa Monica ( which is insanely expensive ) you might want to check out Huntington Beach, very nice area but a little more affordable.

Here's 1 am, 83°f and 75% humidity. God, I HATE summer in this city I can’t even imagine / have the usual winter amnesia of forgetting how heat feels like – so let’s swap. ;D It was – 12 ° C / 10 ° F when I went out this morning around 9 and am walking around for weeks with more layers than aesthetically acceptable. (And -33 °C / -27 °F in parts of Bavaria )
