Got anything interesting on NCIS? — Jeffrey ADAM: Ask yourself this: Which NCIS-er do you think needs to see a shrink? (Correct answer: All of them!) But in the meantime, one team member will log some couch time in the near future, as the show is looking to add a clinical psychiatrist who specializes in combat trauma and stress-related anxiety issues to the cast. She reads people like books and isn't shy about digging up sensitive memories. Oh, the things that must be in Tony DiNozzo's head. www.tvguide.com/News/Mega-Buzz-Bones-1026506.aspx

At least not in the cliché out of the book way they describe her here, with the “She reads people like books and isn't shy about digging up sensitive memories.” (Weirdly enough, at least the first part could be kind of said for the team too....) Just screams clashing with Gibbs and messing up the team dynamics. And why now and not last season after the Somalia affair? (Yeah, not fair to complain about something not aired yet)

(Yeah, not fair to complain about something not aired yet) I'm sure the writers feel the need to give this too a woman so as to balance out the slightly male dominant cast but I'd honestly rather they threw a bone to Peter Cambor. Who basically had this job at NCIS:LA until Shane Brennan apparently couldn't decide how to use him and as a result kicked him to the curb for no real reason.

Interesting; when I read this clip I immediately thought that they seemed to be adding a female "Nate" after booting him from NCIS:LA. (Who was the first character in the NCIS:LA cast who caught my eye -- Cambor made him oddly compelling and it was a cool idea to have a behavioral specialist on the team.) Having a pshrink around wouldn't have been a terrible idea for the NCIS format had they brought them in in a more timely way (as when Ziva returned), only use(d) them occasionally, and hadn't proven (with Nate) that they don't know what to do with them. This just feel like external attempts to try to hold off staleness in a long-running show, and I'm not confident this is the best choice for them. Boy, I hope I'm wrong. (in the alternative -- maybe the secret undercover mission Hettie sent Nate to do was to have a sex change operation [hence, 'she'] and do his job as 'Natalie' in DC! ) P.S. On the other hand -- kudos for the Vance history and the age regression they worked on Vance last new ep. Interesting bit of backstory!

"False Witness" presents a dead turkey that the victim hunted when he was murdered. It becomes the team's only link to find out what happened in the woods. Speaking of the episode which mood is lightened up, co-executive producer of the series Steven Binder who wrote the episode said, "Let's just say that Tony DiNozzo will be behaving very differently from what we're used to." www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00037276.html

Yeah, the idea in general sounds logical (and I can't remember the Nate guy from watching one or two episode of NCIS LA), but it seems like an odd point. And who knows how reliable that article is and how much they tried to spice up their bit of half-info, but they make her sound like tough military chick meets stereotypical female intuition. (in the alternative -- maybe the secret undercover mission Hettie sent Nate to do was to have a sex change operation [hence, 'she'] and do his job as 'Natalie' in DC! ) Hey, if they can (de)age people.... ;D

NCIS Exclusive: Brothers & Sisters' Sarah Jane Morris to Play www.tvline.com/2011/01/ncis-exclusive-brothers-sisters-sarah-jane-morris-to-romance-tony/Sound the alarm, someone may be trespassing on Tiva! NCIS has tapped former Brothers & Sisters actress Sarah Jane Morris to join the cast for a major arc, sources confirm to me exclusively. Jane will play Erica Jane “EJ” Barrett, a new NCIS agent who shakes up the team dynamic. More specifically, look for sparks to fly between EJ and Michael Weatherly’s Tony. Morris’ first episode is slated to air this spring. Thoughts? side note Sarah played X6 AKA Ralph in the Dark Angel episode Bag 'em.

I have my doubts that introducing a new team member (or that's how it sounds) is a good way to solve the unresolved issues of the team as it is. side note Sarah played X6 AKA Ralph in the Dark Angel episode Bag 'em. I'll take that as the upside.

Exclusive: NCIS Launches Major Serial Killer Plot No one can accuse NCIS of resting on its laurels as TV’s most watched scripted hour. The CBS smash is set to close out its eighth season with a dramatic serial killer plot that will span several episodes and (presumably) claim multiple lives. A NCIS rep confirms to TVLine exclusively that the arc, which revolves around a murdering psychopath dubbed the Port-to-Port Killer, is slated to kick off in the April 5 episode and continue through May Sweeps. And this menace will prove to be extremely formidable — so much so that Gibbs will be forced to expand his team. According to an NCIS insider, at least two new special agents will be introduced later this season to assist with the case. www.tvline.com/2011/03/ncis-launches-serial-killer-plot/
