NCIS - First Look At Season 8 When NCIS returns this fall, viewers won't have to wait long at all to see exactly what happens to Papa Gibbs. "We pick up the show right where we left off, and I advise every fan of the show to sit down and watch that first minute. It's explosive," executive producer Shane Brennan tells TVGuide.com. "Ralph Waite is front and center all the way throughout the episode." But as you can see in this exclusive first look at Season 8, Gibbs Sr. isn't the only target on the Reynosa Cartel's hit list. In fact, the premiere — titled "Spider and the Fly" — finds all of Gibbs' team members as potential targets when their investigation of the murder of a helicopter pilot leads Gibbs (Mark Harmon) back to the vengeful Paloma Reynosa (Jacqueline Obradors), whose father Gibbs murdered. Fortunately, it sounds like the team members are looking out for each other. "We'll get back into showing NCIS as the team that it's always been," Brennan says. NCIS returns on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 8/7c on CBS. Source: TV Guide Read more: www.spoilertv.com/2010/08/ncis-first-look-at-season-8.html#ixzz0x0SMcvo4

Well theres only one member of the big four whose origin story we didn't witness first hand. Though I suppose Abby and Ducky's weren't told. My money is definitely on DiNozzo being one of if not the character this is referring too. And I guess I'm in a minority when I say that I'd rather have Abby than Tony... Speaking about how Tony meet Abby.... This is just perfect: First IncidentOr to quote Abby while undressing Tony: "It was like having a great big Ken doll." ;D

NCIS , CBS Tuesday, 8 ET/PT Premiere:Sept. 21 Where we left them: Gibbs ( Mark Harmon ) had been lured to Mexico and kidnapped by a drug lord whose father Gibbs had assassinated 20 years earlier. Rather than kill Gibbs for revenge, she frames him for murder and threatens his family and friends in an attempt to turn him into a mole. Gibbs plays along, but only for a while, and in the final scene, she enters Gibbs' father's ( Ralph Waite ) general store and menacingly flips the sign on the door to "closed." Where they're headed: Say it ain't so — kill Pa Walton? Executive producer Shane Brennan demurs but says that the season opener, which picks up in Gibbs' father's store, is "a very intense episode. In that opening sequence, you understand where Gibbs got his fight and his fire from." And he promises "a big surprise ending." In a November two-parter, look for the return of Ziva's (Coté de Pablo) father, Mossad chief Eli David ( Michael Nouri ), as the newly naturalized U.S. citizen puts family issues to rest. "As of now, her relationship with her father is pretty much non-existent," says de Pablo. "The last thing we all know about their relationship is he set her up, sent her on a suicide mission. She was rescued by her 'real family,' which is NCIS." And later in the season, Brennan says, several "origins" episodes will explore the past of NCIS team members and the reasons they joined. "I'm sure the fans will love the insight," he says. Who's new: Robert Wagner ( It Takes a Thief , Hart to Hart ) returns as DiNozzo's ( Michael Weatherly ) father, Anthony Sr., a suave, womanizing con artist. "It's a very special episode," says Brennan. "You cannot not bring an actor of his caliber back into the show." — Bruce Schwartz www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2010-09-03-tvre turn03_CV_N.htm

I really hope this isn't another of those doppleganger episodes, but just by looking at these actors photos I have a hunch which one is the mini-Tim, mini- Ziva, and mini-Tony.

Sonds great can't wait. ....... NCIS: How Will Gibbs' Past Affect the Rest of the Team? Sep 21, 2010 12:15 AM ET by Adam Bryant The uncovering of skeletons from Jethro Gibbs' past left his father in danger in NCIS' Season 7 finale. As Season 8 begins, everyone close to Gibbs may have a target on his or her back. Executive producer Shane Brennan tells TVGuide.com that Gibbs Sr. (guest star Ralph Waite) will be front-and-center through the first episode and that his actions will give viewers an idea where Gibbs (Mark Harmon) gets his fighting spirit. "It's a big opening," Brennan says. "I advise every fan of the show to sit down and watch that first minute. It's explosive. We finish up that story, and we'll get back into showing NCIS as the team it's always been." The bad news, however, is that Gibbs' team members feel threatened when their investigation of a helicopter pilot' murder leads Gibbs back to the vengeful Paloma Reynosa (Jacqueline Obradors), whose father Gibbs killed. Worse still, not every team member takes the news of Gibb's murderous past with a smile. "I think that DiNozzo is squarely confronting several personal demons this year," Michael Weatherly says of his character. "You see a man who is a maybe a little less silly. He's not totally lost his sense of humor, but I think there are some changes going on with that character that are kind of a subsequent result of seeing Gibbs in a new light." Expect deeper insights into several characters this season, as Brennan promises origin episodes for at least a couple characters. Plus, look for the return of Ziva's father (Michael Nouri) to lead to what Brennan calls this season's first big Tony-Ziva (Cote de Pablo) moment. "For Tiva fans, there is a moment in the first half of the season," Brennan says. "There will be some ghosts from the past, though maybe some of them are not ghosts. It probably won't go as far as [the fans] want it to, but have we ever gone far enough for them?" Gibbs' relationship with Abby (Pauley Perrette), meanwhile, should settle down, even though she was the first to uncover Gibbs dark secret. "It's a complex relationship and we've just added another layer of complexity," Brennan says. "But we would not jeopardize the relationship that the audience has come to love. It does bring a different perspective to it, but it's not like they're going to be busted up. Gibbs and Abby are going back to being Gibbs and Abby." But Brennan, who's known for meticulously plotting out his seasons far in advance, is already thinking about the season's end. And it sounds like the NCIS team may not stay very peaceful for very long. "Toward the end of the season, there will be a big, big, enormous question mark over one of the characters," Brennan teases. www.tvguide.com/News/NCIS-Season8-Preview-1023351.aspx

Do you have any hints as to why Robert Wagner is coming back to ‘ NCIS ‘? – Carlee I turn this first question over to the Hintmaster himself, Shane Brennan. “R.J. Wagner’s return as the charming Anthony DiNozzo Sr. recaptures all the fun and chaos that resulted from his last visit,” the ‘NCIS’ boss tells the Big Tease. What’s more, he says the encore “reveals an emotionally charged moment between father and son that’s not to be missed.” So hinty! www.fancast.com/blogs/2010/tv-news/the-big-tease-scoo p-on-ncis-fringe-v-good-wife-a nd-more/
