I should hate for anything to happen and have the place blow up because I have too many posts in one place... (Worse, I'd hate to have Aerie after me for having ignored for so long her "suggestion" that I get a new thread...)So to inaugurate the new thread, here are Max & Logan, back at the couch... Chapter 4, Someone to Watch Over Me. ~ ~

YES!! Imagine me dancing happily through the room (The neighbours will think I’m crazy )I have to admit, the name of this thread confuses me. For my brain there’s a word missing in it? Maybe some kind of idiom? I just can’t get the connection…(And that's the kind of thing that gets stuck in my head ) You have “been”, but what? And why should we be running? (Since you got a new thread now, an exploding forum can’t be the reason…)

YES!! Imagine me dancing happily through the room (The neighbours will think I’m crazy )Nice to think the couch inspires dancing! (but more fun to imagine that the neighbors will talk...) Heh--caught me being obtuse, did you? ;D I've mentioned ny addiction to the old Monty Python TV shows and the fact that around our house we can spout lines from the show ad nauseum (and do, making our neighbors question our sanity...) So I don't know if it's a real British idiom or not, outmoded or current--but a number of times they'd have dialogue such as "Has the postman been?" when one would ask another if someone has been by yet, or would say "Mother's been" to indicate the old deer had been by. Somehow we use it all the time just 'cos of the goofy show... (and are most certainly the only ones in the Deep South in the US to do so!) (See, you had to ask... ;D)

Nice to think the couch inspires dancing! Well, not so much the couch, but rather the person who’s lying on it. Yes, I had to ask. Otherwise this would be going around in my head for days until it exploded So the next thread title (hoping you’ll still be around and writing then) will have something to do with the Marx Brothers? The movies I know from Monty Python are fun, yes. (I’ll never forgot the shocked look on face of my 8th grade English teacher after we talked here into watching “The Meaning of Life” ;D) around our house we can spout lines from the show ad nauseum (and do, making our neighbors question our sanity...) Seems to be a fun house – Maybe you should record some of it and make your own TV-show?

Well, not so much the couch, but rather the person who’s lying on it. I figured as much, but since DA writers (TV and fic alike) always use "the chair" as a euphemism for Logan's injury and paralysis, I figured it was in keeping to use "the couch" to represent mooshy scenes of stretched out Logan ... (ugh...he's just got to get another housekeeper in there soon...) ~ ~

Since it's a lot easier to watch Final Four games when one's team was tossed long ago, here is Chapter 5, Someone to Watch Over Me. ~ ~

(Oops... thanks, boo! ;D) This new story already explained at length on the challenge thread ... but for those who don't go to that one: Tinker, Tailor, Beggar-man, Thief is up and, with luck, may start to get some response chapters added! ~ ~

Finally, it's at an end: the Epilogue of Someone to Watch Over Me has been posted. ~ ~ (and please don't forget to check out all the amazing guest appearances by Reilynn (twice!), Mari83, Mia (a/k/a RT4ever), Lilmouse and yours truly in the challenge fic, Tinker, Tailor, Beggar-man, Thief. We have lots of different takes on the same question of what Max would do with her life if she had the choice. (Edited to protect Mothers everywhere.)

We have lots of different takes on the same question of what Max would do with her life if she had the choice-- and as yet, not one job choice yet! (just guess what she has been chosing...! ;D ) HEY!!!! Being a mother is too a real job!! "When she's on your side, she's Mom. When she's not she is a real mother." - From Splat Attack, William Shatner Not said with Max in mind, but it fits.

HEY!!!! Being a mother is too a real job!! Jeez! Calm down! I wouldn't have thought I need to do this here, but if you want to make an issue of it: (ahem)My previous comment about no "jobs" being taken by Max was intended as comment regarding work outside the home and/or family unit, and was certainly not meant as a disparagement to mothers in general or any specific mother in particular, including, but not limited to, those on this board, Max, or any of their agents, heirs, employees, subsidiaries, or assigns. While in no wise admitting liability for the alleged disparagement, the existence of which is affirmatively denied, the previous statement is withdrawn and the issue no longer asserted, and is not to be considered as a respresentation of this or any affiliated writer, the act of withdrawal described herein effective immediately, as if the statement was never made nor had ever come into existence. ~ ~ PS: You really think I'd dare even think that in the month of Mother's Day? sheesh.

Jeez, Shywriter, I thought you knew better than to take me seriously. That's a newbie mistake. Isn't this cute:

Jeez, Shywriter, I thought you knew better than to take me seriously. That's a newbie mistake. Never have been smart enough to get anything if the obligatory "LOL" isn't attached... of course, that just means I'm used to it all by now... (It's all good, though, 'cos my mother doesn't read this board...)
