So just as I was minding my own business, simultaneously writing the first 2 chapters of the sequel to Concurrent Jurisdiction... ...the toad showed up with other ideas... Asylum

Please thank the toad for me. I will, and thanks! I supect ol' Tom Butler won't get all the secrets, but I have visions of him finding our hot boy in all new surroundings... They are, in fact detailed a bit in the next installment, which was just posted in Chapter Two of Asylum... (well, not quite this bad, but a bit more rustic than Seattle... )

More with our Hoosier-fied Hero... See, you educating me again in the cultural references area ;D. (Had to look “hoosier” up at Wikipedia, my first reaction was “What is Logan doing with a hose?” )Oh, and of course I love the chapter, need I say it? Just the perfect thing to come home to and have a midnight snack.

See, you educating me again in the cultural references area ;D. (Had to look “hoosier” up at Wikipedia, my first reaction was “What is Logan doing with a hose?” )*snicker* Well, as I recall, they do have hoses in Indiana too... hmmm... how can I work that into the next chapter?? Thanks! ;D ... you know, food writers often suggest a certain sort of wine or beer that goes well with a recipe as they print it... do we need to post suggested snacks with each chapter? And of so... what snack should go along with this one? (and you know every time you mention marzipan I drool... I was addicted by my German brother-in-law, who used to get amazing treats from home each Christmas... )

Well, as I recall, they do have hoses in Indiana too... hmmm... how can I work that into the next chapter?? Hm, the shower is broken and Max needs to shower Logan with the hose after he’s all sweaty after his workout ;D. Uh, sorry, overactive imagination ... you know, food writers often suggest a certain sort of wine or beer that goes well with a recipe as they print it... do we need to post suggested snacks with each chapter? And of so... what snack should go along with this one? Hm, for the most part it was a ‘munching comfortably on a cookie’-chapter as the characters interact – as opposed to the ‘forgetting to chew because of the tension’-part in the beginning. For the last something hot and spicy would be fitting in my opinion. ;D (and you know every time you mention marzipan I drool... Then I’d better not mention that I’m eating my special-recipe self-made marzipan-almond-amaretto-cookies right now ;D. Well you know, if it was possible to email food…

Hm, the shower is broken and Max needs to shower Logan with the hose after he’s all sweaty after his workout ;D. Uh, sorry, overactive imagination Overactive imagination makes for good writing! Lessee-- next chapter he finishes the bike & rides, then the following chapter he gets hosed off! ;D Sounds about right. Phew! I'd hate to have it be 'choking disgustedly on a cookie...' Mmmm... sounds delicious, but I think that apple-marzipan cake you mentioned last time still wins! Where I live now it's not too easy to find marzipan in the stores, and when you do it's factory produced, in a tube, not the greatest. I once found a recipe for making your own marzipan... in the circumstances that might be a better way to go! (and with a food processor it doesn't look too difficult...) On second thought: maybe it's that Logan makes some homemade marzipan, and gets all sticky, and Max has to hose him off...

Chapter Eight of Asylum is up, bringing this story to an end... ...except for those cheesy promises I keep making these days for sequels... (but honestly, there are now three partial chapters and a notes folder for the yet untitled sequel to Concurrent Jurisdiction... so it's coming, I promise! )Thanks for reading this story, everyone, the reviews really took this in a direction not originally planned. See? Reviews really do make a difference!!

So, FFN is keeping updates a secret, eh? Figures. Oh well, Chapter 2 of Minimum Contacts is up... Why is it when FFN "upgrades" something for us, we all take five giant steps back?
