I can't really -- I even thought his eyes were dark, but later saw photos of him in which his eyes looked as blue as his dad's -- funny how I missed that; did they show his eyes much? You'd think they would have done so, given they're such a part of elder Gibbs' image. I didn't notice his eyes and don't think they put a special focus on them, that's just what I liked about it. They didn't pull it off in a 'it's his son, look at all the physical similarities' way, hitting the viewer over the head with the fact. Let's me believe that he was less cast for being Harmon's son and more because they believed he could act how they wanted young Gibbs. Your description made me see him as fitting more than the show did! Maybe it was just more rushed than I liked, but when they were showing him being involved in the fights with the other guys they never really gave us enough time with the story about why they were fighting, why he was so sullen, etc -- or maybe I just wasn't paying attention. From a general point of view yes. I think I was unconsciously comparing with their usual way to tell the past, all the flashy flashbacks (like leaving us to conclude that Gibbs and Jenny had a relationship from Paris scenery and some naked skin). In relation to that I found young Gibbs' story pretty elaborate. (Though not sufficient) And hm, the lack of explanation for his attitude. I had just explained it to myself with the general situation, not wanting to stay but not yet knowing what to do either, at odds with his father but still being seen as defended by him, the stereotypical angry / moody young man syndrome (Long-term experience of having one around with puzzling moodiness ;D) Yes, lots of over-analysis and self-made explanation when the show doesn't say too much. How's this? ;D Okay, yes ;D, he does look a lot like her and that kind of disturbs the illusion. Never heard of the show though (sounds kind of like the slogan for a butchery).. . And will they give us young Tony now? MW's son? ;D

Any scoop about the upcoming episodes of 'NCIS'? – Alice If you were fearing that series boss Shane Brennan would use the occasion of Episode 150 (airing January 12) to off a major character, you are advised to instead sit back, relax and enjoy Robert Wagner's guest-star turn as Tony's pop. "Everybody comes out intact; we don't lose any cast members," Rocky Carroll (aka Vance) assured me of the milestone episode. "The one thing I can tell you is that there are no surprises. We all live to make it to Episode 151."

'NCIS' boss on Tony and Ziva: 'It's a long road back' by Michael Ausiello NCIS exec producer Shane Brennan is spilling more details about the Jan. 26 episode titled "Jetlag," which finds Tony and Ziva traveling to Paris on business and… pleasure? "The episode puts them in the most romantic city in the world," he teases, "and it puts them in the same hotel room." Yeah, yeah, but does anything actually happen? "There will be a realization that the spark is still there," he says. "It doesn't mean that something is going to be resolved, but it does mean that the journey may have started again. "It's a long road back," Brennan adds. "When you think about what they went through, for them to resolve what happened and come to terms with that, it's a long road back." My question for all you restless Tiva fans: Are you willing to wait? ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/01/09/ncis-boss-tony-and-ziva

I need to know more about Tony and Ziva's trip overseas on NCIS! — Mark ADAM: Tiva ends up in Paris, where, as luck would have it, a mix-up at the hotel requires that they share a room. Executive producer Shane Brennan says that 'shippers will be happy. "There is a scene where Tony and Ziva are outside having coffee in a French restaurant and they end up riding away on a little motor scooter," Brennan says. "It is very romantic-looking and it is very French and it is very Tony DiNozzo." Brennan also says that fans will enjoy the events that lead up to their date. www.tvguide.com/News/Mega-Buzz-Lost-1013632.aspx

'NCIS' exclusive: Gena Rowlands unlocks Gibbs' past
Gena Rowlands is headed to NCIS, and she’s bringing a world of pain with her.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that the three-time Emmy winner has been cast in the potentially recurring role of Joann, Gibbs’ intelligent, upscale mother-in-law.
As exec producer Shane Brennan recently told me, the character’s arrival will shed light on Gibbs’ past, unleashing a wave of heartache, anger and blame in the process. You know, standard mother-in-law stuff.
Rowlands makes her NCIS debut in March.

I just intruded into Spec Ops with the following: "When they describe her as "Gibbs’ intelligent, upscale mother-in-law," I suspect it won't be Shannon's mom -- like Gibbs, Shannon was from a small, rural town in coal-country, Pennsylvania. Hollywood won't see that as producing an upscale woman, unless she left his hometown behind too, and has been living it up since!"

I assumed it was Shannon's because why would either of the other 3 mother's-in-law (or is it mother-in-laws?) would be able to make Gibbs feel any sort of guilt or shame or anything approaching a serious negative emotion outside of maybe anger and animosity?

The snobby Mom thinks her baby girl is too good to marry a Marine thus creating conflict with Gibbs that lasts even after her daughters death.
