I have enjoyed "Studio 60" and while Matthew Perry and Amanda Peet are the stars of the show that I think this show has a strong ensemble cast.

Okay, so not super-new... but am I the only one watching "Eureka?" It's great! Gotta love the sheriff/marshall, the one with the most common sense in a town full of super-genuses... Even more noteworthy than all the super genuses...that town is full of Super Hot women . Still I gave up on this show after the second ep . Too cutesy for me. Also not brand new but I really enjoyed the concept in "Psych," and the shows have been pretty good so far (repeats now til January)... I am definitely on board with Psych. It's weird because I don't even think it's really a good show but it sure is a lot of fun to watch .

Gotten into Heroes Love it...Only new show I'm into right now.... They moved networks over here locally to a new affiliate of WB's called CW. This new network is great and I get it on my lineup so I can now watch Smallville and Supernatural (Which I missed most of last season) on Thursday nights at 8PM and 9PM instead of having to stay up till 1 and 2AM on a Sunday morning to watch it Very nice!! So Lost is back on tonight!!! Sweet!!! ;D So I'm watching Heroes, Lost, Smallville, Supernatural, and Numbers. Plus other various NFL and Nextel Racing events Now I'm just waiting for 24 to start up again...In January

That's interesting, because between the two, I see Psych over all as more "cutesy" (but both are a bit "adorable" -- good and bad version of it-- in their own ways!) However, admittedly, the people in Psych seem to be having such a good time, it's infectious. The most exciting thing, though, is that each show has a different- than- the- run- of- the- mill premise-- thank heavens for some originality! (and, admittedly, I didn't notice the babe factor in Eureka-- shoulda asked hubby about that before posting!)

Of the shows mentioned here only “Numbers”, “NCIS”, “House” and “Smallville” are aired in Germany. We are way behind because of the stupid synchronisation I don’t like “Numbers” and lost interest in “Smallville after a few, early episodes (despite all the smooth good looks of Tom Welling ;D). With “Lost” I’m torn. I don’t like the clichéd concept of people cut off from civilization, but they do have all this unresolved tension and mysterious stuff. So I watch about every 5th episode… The ones I watch pretty regularly are “NCIS” and “House”, started watching the last because House looks and acts like a twin of one of my math teachers . Rather creepy and I’m not the only one thinking so… (Though a friend of mine says that actor looks totally different in other roles, when he’s clean-shaven)

That's interesting, because between the two, I see Psych over all as more "cutesy" From what I have seen on the commercials Eureka might have gotten more dramatic as the season went on but the first ep and a half I saw had a lot of cutesy, a lot of "hey look at us aren't we a quirky show" . The non realistic/futuristic science stuff plus the "cutesy" was just too much for me to 'suspend disbelief'. Or whatever that phrase is , brains a little slow today ;D. However, admittedly, the people in Psych seem to be having such a good time, it's infectious. (and, admittedly, I didn't notice the babe factor in Eureka-- shoulda asked hubby about that before posting!)
Trust me, it's there .

My belief is so easily suspended, if I like the people I'll forgive nearly anything! Just watched last nite's ep and it was really sad... But even I have a problem with what they're doing with one of my favorite characters, Henry: of course he's a genius (they *all* are) but he's a bit too much like the Professor on Gilligan's Island-- seems to have an expertise in about 40 different disciplines... and even I ain't buyin' that! And here, hubby keeps insisting he's glued to the show 'cos of the stories.... hmmm... (PS: If you haven't seen the tag-end bit from Psych-- I think it was the 2d or 3d show-- where Dule Hill was doing "The Man in the Mirror" as Michael Jackson, by all means check it out on their web site-- hope it's still there-- he's got it down perfectly! ;D)

I noticed that there are some fans of the new NBC show "Heroes." Possible Spoiler Space. Heroes Gets Full-Season Pick Up Source: NBC October 6, 2006 NBC has given a full-season order for 2006-07 to "Heroes" (Mondays, 9-10 p.m. ET) - the critically acclaimed and #1 new series this fall in adults 18-49 (tied with ABC's "Brothers & Sisters") -- it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment. "'Heroes' has delivered exceptional ratings since it's premiere and we're even more impressed with the quality of the upcoming episodes," said Reilly. "We have complete confidence in creator-executive producer Tim Kring. The best is yet to come over the course of a full season with this newest drama sensation." "Heroes" is averaging a 5.7 rating, 14 share in adults 18-49 and 13.5 million viewers overall, making it the #1 new series this fall in adults 18-49, tied with ABC's "Brothers & Sisters." "Heroes" is the #1 show in its competitive Monday 9-10 p.m. (ET) slot in adults 18-49, generating a 43 percent increase on NBC's non-sports average for the time period last season. From creator-executive producer Kring (NBC's "Crossing Jordan") comes "Heroes," an epic drama that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. They include a genetics professor (Sendhil Ramamurthy, Blind Guy Driving) in India who is led by his father's disappearance to uncover a secret theory - that there are people with super powers living among us. Also featured are a young dreamer (Milo Ventimiglia, "Gilmore Girls") tries to convince his politician brother (Adrian Pasdar, "Judging Amy") that he can fly. A high school cheerleader (Hayden Panettiere, Ice Princess) learns that she is totally indestructible. A Las Vegas single mother (Ali Larter, Final Destination) struggles to make ends meet to support her young son (Noah Gray-Cabey, "My Wife & Kids") and discovers that her mirror image has a secret. In addition, a fugitive from justice (Leonard Roberts, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") continues to baffle authorities who twice have been unable to contain him. A gifted artist (Santiago Cabrera, "Empire"), whose drug addiction is destroying his life and relationship with his girlfriend (Tawny Cypress, "Third Watch"), can paint the future. A down-on-his-luck Los Angeles beat cop (Greg Grunberg, "Alias") can hear people's thoughts, which puts him on the trail of an elusive serial killer. In Japan, a young man (Masi Oka, NBC's "Scrubs") develops a way to stop time through sheer will power. Their ultimate destiny is nothing less than saving the world. Joining Kring as executive producer are Dennis Hammer (NBC's "Crossing Jordan") and Allan Arkush (NBC's "Crossing Jordan"). The drama is produced by NBC Universal Television Studio. I'm really looking forward to Heroes. When I get home I'll have 4 eps to watch and I better not be disappointed. The important thing is I learned how to spell Heroes. I thought it was Heros, not that I ever thought about it. Who knew. I'll have to take a weekend to watch Heroes, 5 eps of Jericho, and 5 of NCIS. And then there is all those TV series on DVD. OMG, I need a month

"Jericho" has been picked up for the rest of the season. Here's the link, www.zap2it.com/tv/news/zap-jerichobacknine,0,3014818.story I have continued to watch "Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip" and I think that one of the strengths of this show is that each of the regular characters has something to do and I think that the writers have done a good job of trying to balance screen time and not asking viewers to take sides if something goes wrong. I have also liked that while a woman is a president of the fictional network that "Studio 60" is on that this hasn't meant that she can't have a sense of humor and be firm.

This post is kind of a stretch , but it does involve television. One of my very favorite shows is the Daily Show and I was sad when my favorite correspondent Rob Corddry recently left the show . I can't explain why but for some reason everything this guy does makes me laugh ;D and it's been that way since the day he started ;D ;D. So the good news is that I just saw that he has been cast in a new movie and in fact has a ton of new work coming so I will be able to watch him all the time comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=17076Rob Corddry Joins Farrelly Brothers Comedy Source: Variety October 19, 2006 Rob Corddry has been set to play Ben Stiller's best friend in the untitled comedy that Peter and Bobby Farrelly are directing at DreamWorks, reports Variety. The film, inspired by The Heartbreak Kid, also stars Michelle Monaghan and Malin Akerman. Filming is under way in San Francisco. The Farrellys wrote the script, inspired by Neil Simon's original. Stiller plays a man who hastily marries a young woman he thinks is his perfect mate. As he watches her turn into a nightmare on their honeymoon, he meets another woman who may be his real soulmate. "Daily Show" alumnus Corddry next stars alongside Will Ferrell and Will Arnett in the DreamWorks comedy Blades of Glory and Warner Bros.' Unaccompanied Minors. He's also starring in "The Winner," a Fox network midseason replacement sitcom from 20th Century Fox. Corddry has just signed to star for Paramount in The Donor, to be produced by Jon Stewart and Ben Karlin. Corddry is writing that script with Brian Huskey and Jason Manzoukis.

Just like to say that I am officially done with the Gilmore Girls as they have now ruined that once great show IMO. The last scene of the last episode just made me want to puke . Anyways the upside of this is that I can now watch NCIS with the rest of you . Also wanted to give another shout out to Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica. She is just so great . Why is she so great? Because when the cylon who has been tormenting her...gives her a kiss and while kissing him she shoves a knife under his ribs...she doesn't forget to twist the knife...just to make it hurt that much more all the while looking him right in the eyes .
