Hey Aerie, guess what show they have started to 're'screen down here on late night tv? Can't guess? Threshold I only started watching it towards the end of it's life, so it was nice to actually be able to see how the whole thing started. From memory the show just sort of ended? No proper story closure?

I have sad news. It pains me to say this. For years I have been bugging Aerie to watch Battlestar Galactica. After last weeks episode I have to admit, she was right not to watch. What an awful pile of sh!t that was. Everything about it sucked. Characters did things completly against their nature for no explained reason. And then? did complete about faces for still no given reason. None of it made sense. Just complete randomness. I never would have imagined they could have ruined such a great series with one episode.

After such as negative post as the one above I guess I should post something about a new show I am watching. I have started watching The Flight of the Conchords and I loooooooove it. What's funny is that I tried watching this when it premiered a year ago and I quit the first episode after 5 minutes. Might have jumped the gun on that one a little bit.

No proper story closure? CBS, the rat bastards, didn't even air all the episodes, so if there had been an ending it wouldn't have been shown on TV. I recorded the first 3 episodes when they were aired, liked them, and waited for the DVDs. All 13 eps are on DVD and I really like the story and all the characters. I was sorry it wasn't continued but doing it my way I know it's canceled before I watch. dzeroGoing by the name - con chords it must have something to do with music and not the Supersonic aircraft.

New Zealand ;D One of the eps is about the duo going to a fruit stand and the guy won't sell them anything because he thinks they are from Australia. Ep titled Race War And Aerie knows what the show is about , she just want to show off her big brain.

I have started watching The Flight of the Conchords and I loooooooove it. We're hooked too, although in a weirdly similar way I keep resisting it-- when we pull out stuff to watch on the weekends I end up voting for nearly anything else we've recorded during the week, something else on DVD -- but if we pull out an ep we're both riveted... We have a bunch more shows ahead, too, ready & waiting! ;D

Oh good. Somehow knowing you think it was a bad episode makes me feel better. I thought it was just me coming into the story so late. Man, was I confused...and underwhelmed. It was kind of like the Seinfeld Battlestar Galactica ep. The show about nothing. I think the acronym BS is correct.

Again nothing new, but I'm finally getting into the brilliance that is the Wire. I've often been curious about this show but always resisted getting into it as I try and limit my TV addictions. Now that its off the air I figure its safe to get into. Also the writers behind it just completed work on the Generation Kill miniseries for HBO which is based off one of my all time favorite books.
So far all I've got to say is this shows really sinking its claws into me. Oh and Det. McNulty is the f*ckin man, my second favorite Irish Detective character behind Det. Dignam who is an absolute legend.

I tried the wire when it first premiered but couldn't get into it. I did like Homicide though, that would be my pick for a Baltimore set crime series.
