I've just watched the first few eps of Mad Men. My lungs hurt just watching that show! Took me a moment to get that. I was thinking...."laughing, maybe?" Forget about the smoking, what about the food? Yes, yes a nice lunch of two dozen oysters, martinis and cheesecake for desert. you probably haven't gotten that far yet but it's comingSo are you enjoying it? I loved it and it gets better as it goes. Good thing aerie hasn't seen this show. She said she had to be carried out of the theater on a stretcher after the Stepford Wives, this show would send her right out the window.

Yes, enjoying it muchly It's nice to watch something with such high production values - it's more like a movie than a tv series. I've only seen 2 eps so far, is there going to be an S2? Being a mum I laughed at the scene where the kid comes into the kitchen with the plastic bag over her head and the mum scolds her for using the dry cleaning bag to make the spaceman costume. Oh to live in a world where your dry cleaning is more important than your kid suffocating. Man how times have changed! The doctor lighting up a cigarette as he's giving the girl the pelvic exam! Priceless! ;D *** Why did I not realize 'Sean & Gus of the Dead' was the season finale for Psych

I think several of the writers and directors used to work on The Sopranos, quality stuff. Yes, this summer. The constant reminders of how the world has changed are fascinating. Those were the only two seconds of the exam where he wasn't calling her a slut. ;D *** Because the seasons are obscenely short, I think only 8 episodes at a time. Love the episode title though .

Valarie Rae Miller is going to be on the new show Reaper which premieres tonight. IMDB lists her as being in 4 episodes. This show is getting great reviews and tonights episode is directed by Kevin Smith one of my favorite directors, Jersey Girl doesn't count Anyways, good to see VRM working, hopefully this does really well for her . I've seen the pilot and the re-worked first ep (different main actress). Is it worth trying to hunt down the other (non Kevin Smith) eps? Loved the Ghost Busters type outfit from the first one.

I really enjoyed the pilot as well. Unfortunately to me it seemed to peak there and go down hill quickly. Reaper was the only new show I started watching this season that I eventually quit ( after 5 or 6 eps ). I really came to dislike the lead actor and VRM wasn't used much. Since you brought up this show and I seem to be doing well recommending TV shows for you . I would say give Chuck a try. The premise is somewhat similar, instead of average guy working at home furnishings store goes to work for the devil Chuck is average guy working at electronics store goes to work for the CIA. The pilot isn't that great ( I actually gave up after it but then gave the show another try ) but after that it really gets good . It even has some of the same wacky fun as our beloved Psych.

I'm recording this tonight, hope it's good . enjoyed the 2d 15 minutes too-- (although the Q & A seems scripted-- -- maybe safer, but with good improvisationalists, that could be lots of fun!) We're big Lou Black fans, so are glad he has this going. Looks hopeful!

Dear dzero (AKA Mr TV), thank you very much for recommending Chuck. I've watched the first 3 eps and am enjoying it very much. Yes, it does have a Psychesque quality to it. I particularly like the Adam Baldwin character. I am not sure why the show seems to be so hated by the IMDB reviewers? People do seem to have a love/hate relationship with the show. Thanks again. Dear dzero (AKA Mr TV), I like it. Can you tell? thank you very much for recommending Chuck. I've watched the first 3 eps and am enjoying it very much. Yes, it does have a Psychesque quality to it. I particularly like the Adam Baldwin character. LOL he out Lassiters' Lassiter ;D Now that somebody else here has watched I have to ask, what do you think of using Chuck for a DA fan fic mash up? Ooooh, could be fun! Maybe take a current show and cast Logan & Max in as the leads? I also think Chuck could fit. The lead character is dorkier than Logan ever was but the female lead is the tough one and they like each other but won't admit it kinda like Max and Logan S1 . You could also have the Jampony crew working at Buymore. ;D If you read a couple pages back, I caught some flack for this suggestion. Did you finish Mad Men yet?

Very interesting for typing dork and Logan in the same sentence! Sadly no. I put MM on hold for a bit while MrAngelZ catches us. If he dawdles too much longer I'm going to have to watch without him.
