I'll definitely be skipping anything with Nicole Kidman in it.

I didn't think Angels and Demons was as bad as most critics have made it out to be, its become a bit of a sport to rip on that film and I don't think its justified. I thought Angels and Demon's was a better movie than Wolverine, but then again I'm a history major. Their was some decent tension and some decent plot twists it didn't raise the bar but it was good enough to be entertaining. The thing I was glad for was the return of Ewan McGregor a guy who I've always been a big fan of since his brilliant work in Trainspotting. The thing that bugged me most was that at the end of Da Vinci Code Hank's character had pissed off the Catholic Church about as much as any lay person ever could without actually committing an act of violance. Now at the end of this film they're ready to canonize him, thats a pretty big turn around.

so..what should i watch while eating buttered popcorn this weekend?? If you haven't seen it yet Star Trek is your best bet, after that I'd go with State of Play. I haven't caught T4 yet, I'll wait till after the weekend rush cause to be honest I'm not a big Terminator nut.

T4 Salvation = such terrific action scenes, such a cr@ppy movie Oh please say it isn't so I think my heart is broken. It's hard enough to get anyone to go to a movie with me and if MrAZ hears that it's cr@p I'll probably only get to see it on DVD. Damn my friends and their love of chick flicks!

Damn my friends and their love of chick flicks! For me all the characters were so blah. The new character Marcus Wright is kinda interesting but they gave away way too much about him in the trailers. The more I think about this film the madder it makes me . I can't think of why they told this story. Nothing in this story means anything, it's not the story of the "war with the machines". And the references to the earlier film made me want to puke. I love the earlier films but these references weren't funny or fun just felt like desperate pandering, although some others in the audience seemed to love them . On the cool side the ending is straight out of one of the Dark Angel episodes. The action scenes really are good. There is a helicopter crash that is shot so that it really is what it's like to be inside a vehicle that is flipping over.

Just watched Brick brilliant film. Not sure if anybody here is familiar with but its really fantastic. Basically its a classic 60's or 70's noir story set in a contemporary high school. The plot is very intricate and when it all unfolds its just brilliant. It also has this great vernacular that really adds to the hole noir-y brilliance of it. I still think Joseph Gordon Levit is a strange pic as the dark male protagonist but I suppose it just adds to the slightly off kilter feeling of it.

If you haven't seen it yet Star Trek is your best bet Finally saw it! Woo hoo!! ;D ;D So you liked it then? I saw the Hangover tonight and it is the funniest film I've seen at least since Superbad, maybe even funnier than that. One thing I have to say to anyone that goes to see this DO NOT I repeat DO NOT hustle out of the theater when the credits start to roll. I hate to say this because it sounds like a put down but what they show during the credits is maybe one of the funniest parts of the hole movie at least in turns of 1-2 minutes straight of gut busting laughter. The movie is hilarious from start to finish.
