great episode!! as jtbwriter mentioned on the specialops board, i also doubt that catherine was really gay. she was obviously just using simmons. i don't really think she was all that looney either. i think jessica must have confided in her since they were supposed to be friends - unless catherine was in it with the captain and since he knew jessica didn't "approve".. hmmm. i thought the simmons woman was the one who killed jessica? someone at the ops board thought the captain had, but he really seemed upset that they thought he'd killed her. i think he really loved her... of course, as tony so brilliantly demonstrated - he could have been acting. loved the fornell/gibbs interrogation. kate said they were going to do the good cop/bad cop routine. but after they got started, my neighbor looked at me and said: who's supposed to be the good cop? LOL they were pretty harsh. in the last new episode - sorry, i'm bad with titles - tony had found a pix of kate winning a wet tshirt contest in florida. you knew he wouldn't let that one go by. one of the girls at the ops board felt he was a bit obnoxious with the way he teased kate with the pix - i didn't find the way tony bugged kate anymore obnoxious or over the top than her bugging him about kissing the he/she. she really went overboard last year on that one. and she's even mentioned it - at least once this - this year. and it sounded like she had filled mcgee in on the details. that was pretty low of her. besides, kate - with a little help from abby - got tony back. i knew she would. she's gotten to be pretty smart this year. and i like how she and abby are buds - even tho we don't always see a lot of that type of interaction between them.
i also liked how tony had evidently told abby all about the girl he'd tried to pick up the night before. i mean, he wouldn't tell kate about it - so he and abby obviously have a good relationship. i still think there might be something there between tony and abby... just a feeling i get every once in a while.
i really thought the doctor was involved. i think he was the head of the FBI in "1-800-MISSING" on Lifetime when it first came out. i always liked him because he was the guy you love to hate. i loved the way gibbs, ducky, tony and mcgee all got in his face. now he was obnoxious. lol several good scenes/lines in this episode. especially gibbs/abby. and even tho tony and kate were at odds over the pix, they still united to harass mcgee. mcgee's line to tony when tony asks him why mcgee didn't tell gibbs that something was tony's idea. mcgee: a wise man once told me there is no I in team. LOL definitely an 8 - just because i laughed so much, if for no other reason.

I just watched this ep and liked it. Kate started the little tussle with Tony at the beginning, then he went for the picture of Kate. I don't think it got mean and it was very funny. I really enjoy their bickering. I must admit I fast forwarded thru McGeek's two big scenes. He was at the hospital doing something and then he went with Gibbs to someone's house. Didn't see it. That's what the FF button is for - zipping through DPB having to put his %*$#% relatives in my show. Since it's the only series I've watched for almost three years I consider it my show. Ducky had a few good scenes. When I see him I understand why he's not much of a focus. He is over 72 years old and looks older to me. Gibbs and Tony both look older than the actors age. I'm comparing them to people I know, relatives that are their age. I wonder why they're doing that.

Other than Abby, I didn't like how the women were written this week. I pegged the perp. early on and I thought that once again there was a woman with too many skeletons and that some parts of her romantic relationships and involvement with others could've been left out of the episode. I also wasn't surprised when Kate made an assumption while using her profiling skills and watching the interrogation. While she has at least been made to feel like less of an outsider this season, there is still not much of anything about her abilities. I also thought that while this episode did have some good interaction between the characters, it didn't make up for the fact that this episode came across more like a filler episode than anything else. I expected more because of the fact that this episode was chosen to air later in the season, but, this episode didn't keep me interested.

Actually, every episode of NCIS is a filler or none of them are.
NCIS is a procedural series, no real continuing story. Each episode stands alone.
A good example of a filler episode is "Art Attack" 1.11. Epsiodes 1.10 "Red" and 1.12 "Rising" were written to play one after the other, but Fux Fox decided they were too dark so they inserted a filler. "Art Attack" was a light and fluffy ep. except for Logan shooting the corpse. Nothing's wrong with fillers. ;D

I said that this was a filler episode because, I expected more out of an episode that is chosen to air later in the season and I didn't expect my attention to waver, but, it did. Season 1 DA's writing was great because while some episodes were stronger than others for any number of reasons, the writers saved the episodes that were stronger for later on. There wasn't a Season 1 DA episode where I could tell just by watching it that it was written for the sweeps periods only, without paying attention to what had made the show successful to begin with.

Since they are all fillers you better get used to it. You are looking for good dramatic storylines in a dramedy, a character driven series. You're on the wrong train. I understand there are a lot of plot driven series all over TV these days. Find one and hop on. I've never guessed the "perp" in any episode so it's always a surprise to me. Not that I care about the plot anyway. It's characters all the way for me. Conspiracy Theory appeared to be a popular episode with the members over at Special Ops. It had good characterizations of Tony, Kate, Gibbs, Abby and a little of the Duck. I think members who like Tony and Kate squabbling over trivial matters really liked this episode with it's very funny ending. I think it helps to have a good sense of humor, and to be an "Angel" or "Tartlet" or a "Gibblet" to like this episode. heh, heh, heh.

I have liked some episodes of this show better than others and this was just one that I didn't like and won't watch when it's reaired. As far as Tony and Kate go, I think that this plotline gives Kate something to do without it being about her abilities or being incompentent as she was often shown in Season 1. I think that this has gotten to be a bit much after awhile and I've liked the episodes better where that plotline is in the background and not front and center. I also think that one of the issues that has come across to me as I've watched is that I don't think that with the time allotted that the writers can handle six characters and that often Ducky has been the character with less screen time and it got to be where I didn't expect to see much him until the end of the episode(s). I know that the writers are trying to attract younger viewers, but, I don't think that with the time they have that they've done a good jiob of incoroparating the characters they already have along with the new ones.

;D ;D ;D I loved this ep - just enough plot to keep me interested - and plenty of delicious Tony to keep me drooling. I have simple needs. Gave it a 9/10.

What I liked:
It's only fair that Tony gets some payback for Kate's holier than thou attitude towards him.
Tony's mole people story about his Uncle was amusing
Duckie telling the shrink off shows what respect he has for the bodies that cross his table.
Good to see Fornell again.
Abby dressing the blow up doll in her clothes.
What I didn't like:
It's unfair that Kate is allowed to make fun of Tony, but Tony is told off when he does the same to Kate.
Conference in the elevator was stupid.
Shouldn't Gibbs be a bit further along on his boat by now?
McGee is too up himself.
Shrink was far too unco-operative considering a paitent died on his watch.
