I didn't like this episode because, it didn't make sense to me. It seemed like the transsexual aspect was thrown in to try to keep the viewer's attention and for shock value more than anything else. While it was good to see Tony be competent this week, this episode did not keep me interested and that was because, it didn't make a lot of sense and it just came across as the writers trying to do too much. The bad guy being a pedophile and then to have the transexual apsect, one or the other would've been plenty. I expected a better episode after having a couple weeks of reruns.

I don't know about the whole transsexual/cross-dressing thing was thrown in simply for shock value, it was who the character was, as basic as his eye or skin color. Why not have something that brings a little awareness into the show (Kate's little speech) instead of another straight out character.
Then again this episode didn't really keep my attention all too well and by the time we got the pedophile aspect I was totally zoned out.

Thankfully Gibbsgirl over at NCIS Special Ops was able to explain the whole transexual Petty Officer's role in the plot otherwise I'd still be in the dark. A few good moments, but not enough to get the ep over the line. 6/10

Just saw "An Eye for an Eye" today and liked it okay. I did something I've never done and that was rewatch it immediately. It was a complicated plot and somehow I let it get in the way of the character interaction, which is why I watch. The second time I paid more attention to the story and understood it. I liked the way the U.S. took out the bad guy when Gibbs forced their hand. This is the Gibbs I like best. Tough, mean and not so many smiles. And Tony was a delight all the way through.

Ok, I hated that hat that Kate had on. Loved the landlady flirting with Gibbs, that was funny.
Picked the crossdresser up straight away. I felt the pig latin explanation was unnecessary. Why does the wardrobe department have an obsession with stripes. In every episode there is at least one cast member wearing stripes.
McGee came off as far too stupid to be in NCIS in this episode, but then I'm not a big fan of McGee's anyway.
That was a great place for Kate to aim her gun. About time she did something productive instead of having her gun taken away all the time.
Let's face it, shooting is far too good for a sicko like that. He should have to turned over into Gibbs' custody and he could have punished him slowly in a really painful way.
