i thought it was a great episode. not quite as gory as i was afraid it would be. yes, there were lots of cut up body parts around, but i think since i couldn't actually distinguish a person out of them it didn't bother me as bad. i actually thought the ep with the guy with the gouged out eyes was sicker...
tony was hilarious. i like how he seemed to be working with mcgee instead of lording it over him like he usually does. and if he hadn't been teasing kate about his frat brother so much thru out the show, her come back at the end wouldn't have been so good. loved the look on his face! he's in trouble now! tony and the dogs - priceless. loved the look on his face when kate caught him blowdrying the dog. also the look when ducky's mom said he was a gigolo. LOL!!!
gibbs, ducky and abby were fantastic. i like mcgee - i thought he was good in this. i liked how gibbs kept him with him - and tony never seemed to be bothered about it.
my only dislike was ducky being abducted while kate was on watch. yes, gibbs was right, he should have had two there. especially considering ducky's mom's state of mind. i just didn't see how the son/mom had time to kidnap ducky in the time kate was out checking on the mom. and maybe she should've taken ducky with her, but i got the impression she wasn't sure who was out there to begin with.
palmer was okay this ep. still miss gerald, tho. when palmer started going on about thumbs and gibbs looked at him and smiled that little smile - i think he was thinking "ah ha. another ducky in the making." then ducky tells him he has to earn the right to go off on tangents [however he said it]. i'm afraid palmer is going to be around for a while. they seem to be trying to make him a younger ducky sort of. at least, it seems like it to me.
the lady who played the mom reminded me of the woman in those hotel commercials... is it days inn? holiday inn? where kids stay free. and they have this son who looks like he's in his 20's - and grandma is with them too. anyone know the commercials i mean? haven't seen any recently.
**this is basically my post from the NCIS Ops board. just wanted to add - since most people here would be mostly interested in MW/tony - tony was absolutely HOT last night. he always looks yummy, but i thought he was exceptional last night... and SO FUNNY!!!!!!!

I knew that the mother was involved in some respect as soon as she began talking, a lot of it had to do with her tone and demeanor. I thought that considering the multiple deaths, I thought that it was interesting that Abby didn't have a bit more involvement in this episode. We did learn one new thing about Tony this week in that his mother died. Tony seems to enjoy getting on Kate's nerves in learning about her personal life which was shown we find out that he is friends with Kate's boyfriend and that Tony followed them on their date I think that this storyline is losing its luster, because, it happens each week usually in the first 15 minutes and I know that I would be creeped out if I knew that one of my male co-workers was continually going through my things and or following me around without my knowledge.
I didn't like the fact that Ducky was kidnapped when Kate was supposed to be watching both him and his mother, because, it made her look incompetent. I did like the interaction between Tony and Ducky's mother and I liked the scenes with Tony and the dogs. The son's suicide at the end was an interesting twist, but, for some reason it seemed like it was added on in the end, but, I didn't think it added much to the overall story or episode. I also liked the scene where Gibbs questions McGee about the man's signature and the smile after that interaction.

I gave this ep a 9.5. Despite a couple of little flaws in the story, I loved every minute of it. ML Fan Tony didn't technically 'stalk' Kate. He quizzed his 'frat' brother about the date and the guy gave the information up to Tony. Tony loves to bait Kate. Kate is easily baited. Perhaps the real person at fault here (if you want to poke a stick at someone) is Kate's boyfriend. Shouldn't he at sometime have mentioned to Kate that he knew Tony? But wait a minute, I almost forgot, this is a TV show and it isn't meant to be representative of real life Excellent review Jo. You've said it all.

I guess that for me it's the idea of Tony stalking Kate and or getting all of this private information without her knowledge that I don't like. I don't view Tony's behavior in that situation as either likable or professional and I think that Tony somehow getting personal information about Kate without her knowledge is getting old as far as a storyline, it could be taken as a humorus the first time, but, I think that the humor is gone now and it's really just a negative image of women in the media in this case on television. It may have been intended to be funny in someone's mind, but, it missed it's mark and it showed Tony at his worst.

Huh? How exactly did this storyline reflect badly on Kate (a woman)?

Huh? How exactly did this storyline reflect badly on Kate (a woman)? The storyline reflects badly on women because the message is that she has to take this or that she enjoys it. It wouldn't matter to me which male character had done this, wherether it was McGee, Tony, Gibbs, Ducky, or some male guest star, I didn't like the behavior.

I don't want to encourage any member to keep repeating themselves so I hesitate to add my 1 cent. I hesitate to agree with AngelZ because we are in agreement about most eps. Agreeing with other members can be as boring as repeating yourself. Remember Tony and Kate are not real people. Tony, while wonderfully delightful, is a comic book stereotype and Kate is growing into her role as a real person, thanks to DPB for bringing her along. 1. She does not have to take it. 2. She does not report to him. 3. Tony is not her boss. 4. She can kick his ass anytime she wants. If she doesn't like it she can complain to the person they both report to or Human Resources or whomever. That's okay that you care enough about the show and Kate to feel bad for her. I'm sure this is the intention, to get viewers emotionally involved with the series.

Give it a rest ML Fan. You have expressed your opinion in your previous posts and it's not necessary to repeat it. Repetition is not going to change anyone's mind.

My favourite lines: Tony Dinozzo. The Italian Gigalo furniture remover I loved Mrs Mallard. She absolutely cracked me up through the whole episode. Leaving Tony with her was great especially when he referred to the dogs are boys and girls (as if he was surrounded by children). I thought my family was weird, but these people were a creepier version of the munsters. The lengths some people will go to for their children is downright sick. Knowing that Duckie was a more possible target than his mother, Kate should never have left him unguarded or as Jo said, she should have taken Duckie with her. Not enough Abby, too much Palmer and for god's sake bring back Gerald. Having said that, the scene where Gibbs said "Come Abbs. You sleep in a casket dressed in a funeral gown." certainly gave us a little more insight into Abby outside of work. My question is: How does Gibbs know what she sleeps in?
