Background: "SCI FI Wire This is the online news service of the SCI FI Channel, devoted to science fiction and fantasy...If you have news you'd like to submit to SCI FI Wire, you can reach us at scifiwire@scifi.com"
I went a little a further and got the News Editor, here's what he said to me:
From: leep@earthlink.net To: jeiara@excite.com Subject: Re: Date: Tue 20:00:09 -0700 You can send a press release to me.
Patrick Lee News Editor SCI FI Wire SCIFI.COM
Pretty short response, so I guess you could send it to his address or the sci fi one with maybe in the subject ATTN: Patrick Lee or something.

Hey everyone, Newbie to the board, but I've been with the site since it's been running. I have a slight concern regarding the Hollywood Reporter ad. I was taking a close look at it, and noticed several typos and misspelled words. I just want to make sure this isn't the final version. I'm sure the ad will be revised before going live, but I just wanted to let people know.

Hey schmidty. I checked the ad again, and I don't see any misspelled words, unless you were talking about the foreign translations of "Thank You" on the ad. As for the typos, are you talking about the commas looking like periods? That is just the nature of the font I used. The Hollywood Reporter staff have the ad, and since turning in the ad, they have not said a word to me about any misspellings or typos.

The following is the mailing info for the Canadian Edition of the TV Guide which is published by Transcontinental Media 25 Sheppard Avenue West, Suite 100 North York Ontario M2N 6S7. The email address for letters is tvguideletters@tvguide.ca. Please ensure that the Canadian edition of the TV Guide is on list for the press release for Hollywood Reporter advertisement. I would like to see the dedicated fans of Dark Angel and JA in Canada to get on the band wagon and start writing letters to the Canadian media, to date I haven't noticed any posting from the Canadian fans, I hope is some out there.

I received an e-mail from HR that September would be a good month to release our print ad:
"Hi Trisha - just following up with you regarding your ad. Next month would be a great time to run your ad as Emmy Season is here and the network heads will all be reading (as they usually do) our paper front to back. Please let me know if you would like me to send you anything additional.
Best regards, Maryam"

I had contacted HR about the release of the print ad during the week of September 20 and I received a response from them this morning:
"September 20th is great. Why don't I reserve the space now so that I can give you the best possible placement. This special issue is exceptionally well received because it is out DAY OF EMMYS special edition, so this issue not only gets distributed to all of our readership nationally (New York, LA...Chicago, Miami) this special edition goes inside all of the limos to the Emmys, so your ad will be seen by every major network, studio head, agent and manager in the entertainment industry."

Great exposure

THUD!!!
Wow, that IS one HECK of an issue for the ad to appear in. WOW and wow again!
Kudos for all your hard work!
And I think I did mention once how there's gonna be a movie made to fix the terrible end of the "Quantum Leap" series, right? You don't need to be a fan of that, but the idea counts. I'm sure we won't need to wait as long, that ad is going to get to all TPTB, yay!.

This is so exciting. To meet our donation objective and have placement of the ad in the "issue of the year" for the television industry.
