I need some help obtaining the PRIMETIME TELEVISION RATINGS (ranked by average number of viewers) for the season 2000-2001 If you go to the web site www.boxofficemojo.com/tv/2002/season.htmyou'll find the Primetime Television Ratings for 2001-2002 (ranked by average number of viewers) (in millions; only the first runs of regular shows counted) I have the ratings for the 2001-2002 season but I need the ratings for the 2000-2001 season, perhaps someone has those figures or knows where to find them. I am trying to put together a letter to Fox using the average season ratings and seasonal ranking for the Dark Angel in the 1st and 2nd seasons. Anyone who can help I would appreciate the information. Please send me a PM I hope that I have explained myself properly so you understand what I am after. Thanks

There is a thread in the Newstand - Dark Angel Firefly ratings comparison that lists the first season rating for DA and I believe gives the source of those ratings.

Thanks for futoncritic suggestion I was able to get all of the information I wanted on that web site. I took a quick perusal of the information and at first appearance the Dark Angel not only did considerably better than Firefly ratings wise in the Friday time slot, but it would appear that its' ratings in the Tuesday time slot was better than Fox's new darling series 24, when I put all of the information together I will post my findings so don't take my first impressions as gospel but it does look interesting.

It would be interesting to send something like that to Fox so they can see what they threw away, but I'm guessing plenty of people have already done that.

From what I recollect DA definitely had better ratings than 24 did.
But... remember 24 was Vermin's brainchild and DA was a done deal when she came on board with Fox. She had no say in adding DA to the schedule and my guess is she hated it from day one.
DA consistently kicked Angel's butt in the Tuesday time slot and guess who was exec producer of Angel during that time...
So no. it was never a ratings game as Fox and Vermin would like everyone to believe. If it was, 24 would have been cancelled after last season or moved to the Friday night dungeon since it did even worse than DA ever did on Tuesday nights.

That's really interesting... I had no idea that 24 did so badly over there. I guess the vermin wants to have her own ideas do well. Thus her actions with da. I've been using ff's ratings in letters but it would be a good idea to have a list of all the fox shows that are running that are doing worse then it could be attatched to all our letters to fox. ;D
