I don't usually post in this topic, because i really haven't had many campaign ideas besides the ones the mods were already pursuing, but i've been wondering... Why are we only writing Cameron and Alba? What happened to Eglee, Weatherly, Ackles, Miller, Gunn, MacKenzie, Durand, Cummings, and even Savage? Shouldn't we be letting these people know that we're rooting for them and need their support too? I know that Jessica was the main character on Dark Angel, but the show wouldn't have been the same without the rest of the cast, and it won't be if it's renewed and they don't bring any of them back. Just a thought.

There are some postcards on the Save Dark Angel site that are addressed to Michael Weatherly but it is care of Jessica Alba's manager. I think the main reason we haven't been mailing the people that you listed is because we don't have address's for them.

We've been doing postcard of the week, so why don't we do Magazine of the week. There are now postcards on the Save Dark Angel site that you can just address to your favourite magazine. We could even work our way around the world in regards to which magazine we post to.

Another tactic.
We can also target FireFly's advertisers. Tell them you are not watching, won't watch and will not buy any of their products as long as FF remains on the air.
Add that you gladly return to them if they sponser any type of televised DA return.
This list is also shares some companies with "Buffy" so if you can say you are not watching that show I would be very happy. I am getting my groups to do the same.
A strong united front is important.
Here they are.
Verizon Network (many ads) Snickers (M&M/Mars) Levis (Levi Strauss and Co.) (many ads) Kodak Kotex Neutrogena Buffy X-Box game (Microsoft makes the X-Box system) Sprint PCS (many ads) Soft & Dri Playtex Subway Sandwhiches Clean & Clear Ford Motor Company Tylenol Carson Piere Scott stores (might be a local Chicago ad, also known as Boston Store and Bergners.) Barilla Pasta AT&T Wireless Retin A Micro (1-877-72-Micro) Kmart New Line Cinema (Knock around guys) Kohls Stores (again, might be a local ad) New Balance Shoes.
Note: A lot of the ads are geared toward women, esp. young women or fans of the shows (Buffy game, Knockaround Guys).
I could use some help in finding these addresses. I'll edit this post with the addresses. Just email them to me when you find them.
Thanks.

That's an excellent idea! I'm game! Who will decide the "target" per week and we also have to remember that the overseas fans need a 3 week lead time so their letters arrive when our letters arrive. So we will need basically two schedules. I'll be happy to help. Who is our team leader?

The first target is Levi Strauss and Co. makers of Levi Jeans and Dockers. Ok, how will this help? Levi’s has a strong stance on social responsibility. We need to point out to them that we are not watching FireFly (and Buffy, they advertise with both) because of the shows treatment of women and minorities. Examples: On FF we have a woman who is a prostitute and this is considered to be the most honorable profession a woman can be in. We have another woman that began the show being tortured. We have another woman that was given away as a gift. We have a religious man that seems to exsist only as the verbal punching bag of the shows “angry atheist hero”. On Buffy women are also degraded, raped, murdered or beat down on a regular basis. A disproportionate number of minorities are killed (women, lesbians, African Americans, Gays) while white heterosexual males not only rarely die, the ones that do get to come back to life. (as a white heterosexual male I find this very offensive). How can we use this to get Dark Angel back? Point out the positive portrayals (which many of you can do better than me) but off of the top of my head there is a courageous young woman that is fighting for her rights, the male hero of the show is admired for his intellect and the fact that he is wheel-chair bound is only use to show the strength of his character, a positive portrayal of African American gay woman. Not to mention the entire “normals” vs. “freaks” dichotomy of the future can be seen as an portrayal of everyone’s essential rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Tell Levis you are not watching Firefly or Buffy nor will you buy their jeans or other products. However if they were to put the financial backing of their company behind a new series or TV movie for DA you would be more than thrilled to support them with your money. Well I just got some information.
Firefly is filming Episode 10 right now. Fox has bought 13 episodes. So I bet they will play all 13. They have not picked any up after that.
Let's make these the most expensive 13 episodes in history. So the time to act is now on this.
Do be sure you mention Buffy as well. Why? Cause it effects the company that is doing FF. The more heat we put on them now, the better chance we all have of getting the things we want.
I have sent this same message to the Tara fans, only reminding them to put in the good words for DA.
I am going to be calling Levis here soon. Remember you have the Tara fans backing you up here.
With us both, we have a large number of people. I plan to let them know that the DA fans have another 4,000 Tara fans that will going them at a moment's notice.
We have accomplished so much together, let's keep going.
Warlock.

My letters to all the Levi addresses are ready to go. When is the coordinated "Mail Date" so that they get all our letters roughly at the same time?

No mail date really, this will be a constant flow.
I have already spoken to a couple of represenatives at Levi's so they are expecting our letters.
BTW, I am sending mine out today. Many will go out today and tomorrow.

I noticed a disturbing article on the "Save Farscape" web page. "Red" is calling for all "scapers" to sign a petition to get FOX to give Fire Fly a chance and not cancel it. "Red's" idea is based on the belief that we sci-fi lovers should "support sci-fi in general" by supporting all sci-fi shows. I emailed "Red" with my concern that if we support "all sci-fi" even "poorly done sci-fi" then why would the networks even bother to produce the better and more expensive shows like Dark Angel and Farscape? Maybe, some of you would want to email "Red" with your concerns as well. There are a lot of "scapers" out there. We don't want them accidentally saving Fire Fly do we? Go to www.savefarscape.com then go to "contact"...

I just got a nice email from "Red". Red had made a one time request for support for Fire Fly since he is a fan of the show. Red was not trying to get all of the "scapers" in the world to save Fire Fly. My bad.
