As Gibbs leaves for the Middle East to question a senior Arab terrorist about an impending attack against a Navy ship, he asks his team to dig deeper into Harm's case in the hopes that they will find new evidence that points to another killer before the verdict is read. is it me or are they trying to have a 24/CSI-ish ep *in* a J.A.G. ep ?

I'm never seen 24 or CSI or JAG, although I did tape JAG last night for future viewing. I'm anxious to see what others think because it might have a bearing on whether NCIS is picked up in the fall.

I'm with Aerie, i have never seen JAG, only seen two episodes of CSI, it was quite good but i never got into the rutine of actually sitting down and watching it every time its on, which i dont even know when it is. And as for 24, heard nothing but good things about it, i've even been in the same room when its been on while i was at a friends apartment but never ever watched it

I've read some good reactions to the episode on the JAGNIKs and NCIS Yahoo lists. ;D ;D
May 14 is when we know if it's picked up for sure.
BTW Kip, the JAG insider who posts to the Jagniks list, said on the list today that Michael Weatherly was their first choice to play the role of Tony. (In answer to a questions as to whether the casting was done by audition or if they knew who they wanted. ) The girl was from an audition.

Well at least we know that he is more than just our first choice, and damn what is it with me and these cheesey lines lately

Haven't seen 24, and only recently have gotten into watching CSI (which is another good show), but this does have similarities to CSI. With both J.A.G. and the CSI franchise being so good to CBS in terms of ratings, perhaps this is the network's way of running with what's popular. I certainly do hope that CBS picks up the new series come May 14th.

what i meant re 24 is simply the "breaking" a terrorist's mind , running against time and killing a pregnant woman. i doubt the 24 aspect will be kept. for now i'm thinking it will be more Law and Order (the original) style, partly investigation, partly prosecuting considering two new JAG officers will be added in "meltdown". i love L&O so i'm set not much of CSI fan though, the (white) cast gets on my nerve. which reminds me that the name "gibbs" is way too close of "grissom" to my ears, wrong choice imo.

I dont usually watch that whole crime investigation genre, apart from Jonathan Creek, a UK based one which is quite comical. I find them interesting if i do watch but i never get hooked

hooked on 24, love L&O, love JAG (in spite of my dislike for any army but i love law though i sucked at it back in the days), so ya know overall NCIS would be on my watch list. if it were a "charmed" or "angel/buffy" style i'd be throwing up already.

It couldn't hurt to hit CBS now with emails and snail mail asking them to please add NCIS to their fall line-up. And don't forget to mention MW in letters!
