Jodie Foster Nicole Kidman Tom Hanks Tom Cruise I'm with you on Nicole, and Tom Cruise is getting there-- but I like Jodie Foster for some reason-- maybe I find it refreshing to have a lead female role played by someone bright and more humanly attractive, not cookie-cutter pretty. The movie "Contact" was nothing compared to the book, but if I forgot it was the book, I liked the way she played the lead in that movie. I don't always like Tom Hanks' roles but what impresses me is that he's Everyman -- in all of his movies, early on I stop seeing him and start seeing whoever he's supposed to be (opposite of my 30's faves like Bogart & Hepburn, they were always themselves, with a bit of a shift into the character...) In Apollo 13, I completely lost track it was Tom Hanks...

Hugh Jackman [not that he is a bad actor, but more I can't figure why people think he's hot] Russell Crowe [couldnt even give him points for the accent] Brad Pitt Cameron Diaz Gwyneth Paltrow [again, not so much bad as overrated]

Haven't watched anything with him in it. Attempted to watch Gladiator when it came on tv, but I could only tolerate about 5 minutes before I turned it. Tried again and lasted maybe 15 minutes before I turned it.
