I loved it, favorite episode of the season. I loved the call back to the Rota situation, and I loved the fact that they returned to the idea that Tony might have outgrown team Gibbs. That was a really weighty idea for the better part of two seasons that just got ignored for the last season and a half or so. Tony is by far my favorite character on this show so any episode that devotes so much time to his character development gets major points in my book.
I really hope they follow up on this, not just the budding romance with E.J., rather the emotions that were clearly brought back to the surface upon her return. Unfortunately I don't think they will because they can only take that too far before they actually have to give him a team or have him accept his place which means they'd lose that character line.
As for this E.J. chick I kinda like her, well not really, but I like the idea of Tony in a relationship. Tiva has stagnated lately so it'll be a lot of fun to see jealous!Ziva again.

Agreed. There was a line (something along the lines of) 'and then he took it away' which was very telling.
I hope they have little hints about the future of the team in the upcoming eps - and not just drop the topic until the last moment.

I think EJ is here so that we can see a jealous Ziva more than anything else in the same way that we see Tony get jealous of Ray. All in all a good episode but not as good as the episode(s) devoted to Tony Jr. and Tony Senior to me.
