Reasons why not to take your Iphone to bed : You sleep-walking delete a whole bunch of emails without having any memory of doing so, wake up with an Inbox that looks incomplete compared with the evening before and have no idea where the deleted messages are. (For some reasons not in the 3-4 thrash folders my mailbox has for some reason) You end up emailing friends 'Did you email me or did I dream that?'

Let them play cooler instruments? Gladly - however they chose the instruments and insist on the lessons. The Clarinet was traded for a Saxophone for one term but it turns out that is even harder to learn if you don't practice. Getting a copy of the music for the Simpsons theme was a short term solution.

Yes, but you have an advantage over those of us who do just about the same thing but with a 17" laptop -- more room left for you in the bed! (but all the better to fall asleep to Logan 2" away! ;D)

If your in the US (or abroad) and you get the National Geographic channel please tune in tonight at 9pm EST (or check your local listings) and check out the award winning documentary Restrepo about a platoon of US soldiers in the deadliest place on earth the Korengal Valley, Afghanistan. Its an outstanding film I've had the privilege to see twice and I can't recommend it highly enough. This isn't Michael Moore-esque partisan agenda pushing this is gripping Cops-style footage from the frontlines. If you can please take 90 minutes tonight to try and appreciate, and perhaps better understand, the sacrifices being made by U.S. (and allied) servicemen on behalf of a public that really couldn't careless at this point.

Currently more than a little worried I might get trapped in the UK and not make it home for Christmas. I'm supposed to fly out thursday to spend the holidays with family but the we've already gotten hit with 4 inches of snow and more might be coming in the next two days. Coming from a part of the world that would view this as a minor hinderance at best has made me very, very annoyed living in a place where 3-5 inches of snow grinds the country to a halt for 3-5 days.
