(In their apartment, Original Cindy is washing a shirt in the sink. Max enters and sets down a cage with a live chicken in it.) ORIGINAL CINDY: Hey, boo. MAX: Look what I scored. Is this or is this not the most beautiful bird you’ve ever seen in your entire life? ORIGINAL CINDY: It’s aiight for a chicken. What you gonna do with it? MAX: Eat it. (Looks in the fridge) Do we have any garlic? ’Cause Logan always uses garlic and it’s so good. (She closes the fridge. Original Cindy stares at her, appalled.)MAX: What? ORIGINAL CINDY: You gonna kill it? MAX: I’m not gonna wait around and let it die of old age. ORIGINAL CINDY: But look at its little chicken face. (They look closely at the chicken.)MAX: Must be my feline DNA. ’Cause when I look at this little face...I see dinner. (She chuckles as she opens the cage. Original Cindy watches her snap the chicken’s neck and shudders.)ORIGINAL CINDY: Ugh. (Later, Max is sitting at the table, eating chicken. Original Cindy is sitting on the couch, reading.) MAX: Mmm. Are you sure you don’t want any? It’s really good. ORIGINAL CINDY: Not hungry. (The phone rings and Max answers.)MAX: What’s up? LOGAN: It’s me. Some info’s come my way. I think you should stop by. MAX: Sure thing. I’ll be right over. (Hangs up) Gotta blaze. Later. (Max leaves. Original Cindy opens the pot, warily tears off a piece of chicken, and eats it.)ORIGINAL CINDY: Mmm.

Definitely one of the best eps. For some reason I always think Max shoots him in the end, not snap his neck . Don't know why I always think that, don't know why I thought it was important. I like all the episodes with the other escaped X5s. To see how their experiences on the outside differed from Max's. And to see them come together as grown up brothers and sisters. I also think JA did some of her best acting in this ep.

That opening scene with the chicken is classic! Hm, that chicken has a striking resemblance with the chicken named Emma I had when I was little and which I taught tricks . It went the same way as Max’s chicken Also this episode proves that Max has some cooking skills ;D. Cindy looked pretty pleased after she tasted the chicken. Everytime I watch this I wanted to smack Logan for trusting Lydecker more than Max .

Also this episode proves that Max has some cooking skills ;D. Cindy looked pretty pleased after she tasted the chicken. The chicken looked like it was prepared pretty savagely. And she did seem to need a lot of help from Kendra on that pasta tricolore. But hey, maybe maybe I'm underestimating her.

Everytime I watch this I wanted to smack Logan for trusting Lydecker more than Max . I'd rather smack the writers for doing that bit. I understand the desire to have one of them doubt the other, all that UST and angst and nailbiting, but I just didn't buy it: the Logan I have firmly established now in my stubborn little pea-brain wouldn't let the photo throw hhim. He knows what Manticore was about; I guess you could argue that he didn't know about having the kids hunt and kill humans, or if he did, the photo made it sink in when the info hadn't really, before. Yeah, you could argue it-- but I ain't buyin' it.

Yeah, you could argue it-- but I ain't buyin' it. I'm buying it . I mean the blood was drooling down her mouth it was a pretty grizzly pic. It would certainly be unsettling for him to see that pic IMHO. But the whole point of this little story line is that Logan got over it or accepted it or worked through it however you want to say it. Their relationship wouldn't mean anything if it didn't withstand some difficulties. Although they never talked about it , which kind of negates my whole point

I could have (and should have) been more specific in my rant: I certainly agree that the photo was rattling and that he would have been thrown-- what bothered me was that it seemed so protracted, and so complete-- as if it completely obliterated all that had gone on before. Too much, too long, ergo, too (pouting isn't attractive, even on Loogie...) (or maybe my head is much less in canon and much more in moosh than I'd even realized...)
