Just one more sleep "Pizza! Pizza!"So good to have the show back and even better to see not just a quick reference to Millers Crossing but a whole conversation devoted to it.

Miller's Crossing - Isn't that the old film with Warren Beatty and Julie Christie and some of the best film music ever. I love the music. So why were they talking about it on your show?

hmm lets see... Aerie confuses Mcabe and Mrs. Miller with Millers Crossing and Reds with Red ..... yes yes, interesting, so the question is how long have you been in love with Warren Beatty? and just because I don't get the chance very often, a pic from the great Red, one of my favorite films of all time.

Indeed ;D But seriously. That show could not be very expensive to make so why are the seasons so short It's a crime Here in the states the show runs on the USA network which is a basic cable network not one of the big 4 broadcast networks. All of USAs original shows Psych, Monk, Burn Notice follow the pattern of these shorter seasons, about half of what the broadcast networks shows do for a season. What did you think of the ep?

Slow start but I liked it. The location change but a different spin on it. Lots of good Shawn/Gus interaction and off topic monologues On reflection I realise that it was a very very Shawn-centric ep (more so than usual?) with everyone else taking a back seat. Was there a scene that he wasn't in? A couple of questions: How did Despereaux (Dread Pirate Roberts ;D) escape when he jumped off the roof? Was there a pineapple in the episode? *** I think the writers at NCIS could take a leaf out the Psych book on how to create tension between two characters without jumping the shark. It seems that Shawn and Juliet will be kept apart this season due to his relationship with Abigail. All very realistic and not overly dramatic. The tension will be there but it isn't falsely created by a virus or murdered ex terrorist boyfriend.

Slow start but I liked it. The location change but a different spin on it. Only thing I didn't like about the location change was Henry showing up to bail them out. Just too forced IMO Yes now that you mention it, funny to say since he is the lead but this way more shawn centric. I assumed he had a parachute, lol at Dread Pirate Roberts aka WesleyI am horrible at noticing the pineapple from episode to episode, definitely the wrong person to ask. agreed but with a caveat, how will they deal with the Abigail character? I have this feeling they will get rid of her soon. During this ep when we realised the trip was meant for her I thought we would be hearing they had already broken up. No matter what they do with her I hope she doesn't become one of those hidden characters, in other words always mentioned but never seen. If she and Shawn stay a couple then she has to show up ever once in a while or it will bug me just because I hate that as storytelling device.

But Henry was hooking up with a Salmon boat! Agreed, he was kind of shoe horned in.Agreed on your caveat. Hopefully she'll make at least a couple of appearances during the season.

I just stumbled across a very interesting article today that might be of particular interest to some of the BSG fans here. The rest of the article can be found HereThoughts? Personally BSG means ziltch to me as its not my cup of tea and whenever anyone claims its the best show ever made I immediately dismiss it as the Wire is without doubt the greatest of all time.

It will be interesting to see how they try to market this and what kind of style movie it will end up being. I tend to think that the producers have been bitten by the success of the Star Trek movie and are keen to cash in on that.
While the author says that the new BSG wasn't a phenomenon (in the sense that it had a cult following not a mainstream audience) it has totally turned the possibilities of scifi tv on its head.
Somehow I don't think the movie will be as dark as the tv series. That wouldn't sit well with general movie going public.
