When this premiered I saw the lead actress interviewed on TV and was intrigued enough to give the show a chance. That chance lasted about 2 minutes I would judge anything after two minutes or even five. I try to watch 3 episodes of any series before I make up my mind but I usually only watch Sci Fi and occasionally Fantasy. I like a few characters and I want them to stay in the same place. I don't want a different location for every episode and a lot of guest stars. I dropped "Lost" after the first season; so complicated it became goofy to me. Same thing for "Heroes" I've read all twelve of the books, that includes the prequel, and I'm a big fan. The Sword of Truth universe books 1994 through 2007 Prequel is Debt of Bones01. Wizard's First Rule 02. Stone of Tears 03. Blood of the Fold 04. Temple of the Winds 05. Soul of the Fire 06. Faith of the Fallen 07. The Pillars of Creation08. Naked Empire 09. Chainfire 10. Phantom 11. Confessor I didn't expect the series to be as good as the first book, which it's based on, so I wasn't disappointed. I like all the characters really well which is important to me. The story comes second. I've only watched 3 episodes and the DVDs will be waiting for me when I get home from vacation later in the month. ;D I'll settle back with popcorn, Milk Duds and a wine cooler and watch 'em all and feel like a kid. That's a feeling the newest Batman movies could not do for me. I've wanted a series like this with sword fighting and beautiful horses galloping through beautiful forests and lots of killing. Oh yeah, and fooling around in the lake.

They still make wine coolers? Is it still 2008? Is Aerie still trying to convince the rest of the world they are wrong for liking/loving The Dark Knight? yeah that's her, that the one that got me to try the show and waste 2 minutes of my life but the interview I saw where she was charming and pretty was at least 5 minutes so I'm still ahead 3 minutes

dzeroI have the DVD of the Mini-series and watched it and loved it. That came first. I intend to watch it all eventually. I use lemon-lime soda and any wine I can find. Refreshing with popcorn. I liked the first one and I liked selected scenes of the 2nd one. That would be all the scenes that didn't have Maggie Gyllenthingie, Aaron Eckhart and Heath Ledger. I really liked Batman but not so much Bruce Wayne. Adored Alfred - he was my favorite in both movies. Spiderman, Superman and Batman dead for me so I'm holding out for The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp, even though he's playing Tonto. www.lonerangerfanclub.com/Riding through the forests in a big white dress. Herumor was so right. They hired the best actor to play Zed, the wizard. He is perfect. dzero Kemo Sabe, Tthe next time you come over I'll tie you to the chair and force you to watch The Seeker while you're drinking wine coolers. ;D Oh fiddle, dzero made me be off topic with movies in the TV thread.

If we are going to be having lemon-lime flavored drinks may I request a Vodka Collins instead? And since we are talking alcohol in the TV thread I'd like to recommend to everyone Three Sheets a really fun, lighthearted drinking/travel show. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Sheetswww.hulu.com/three-sheetswww.fancast.com/tv/Three-Sheets/96540/full-episodes

I'm currently 2 eps behind in MM. ** Now caught up they seem do be getting rid of some of the supporting characters this season I am very dissapointed in the scenes between Don and Conrad Hilton. Don is such a kiss ass in those scenes it makes me Whats weird is that the scene where they met at the Kentucky Derby party was so great, it's been downhill since then Other than that this show has been great, episode per episode it's been the best thing on TV. Now one ep behind. I'd forgotten that Pete had told Cooper about Don't secret shoe box at the end of the 1st season. Yes it was blackmail, but I can understand why Cooper did it. Don really didn't give him much choice. It doesn't mean he isn't free to leave the agency, just can't 'theoretically' work for the competition. (I should give Don a call and let him know that in the real world it's rare for anyone to enforce that rule anyway. Too much legal mumbo jumbo)

Wasn't he also the tunnel guy in the third Matrix movie? I know some people complain about the matrix sequels but if you have em on DVD just skip through all the zion stuff and watch the rest as one big movie and it's pretty damn good Oh and since AngelZ is in here talking about older Austrailian movies... Anybody seen Picnic at Hanging Rock? another pretty damn good movie I was bummed when I found out it wasn't based on a true story

And by the way, it's not exactly the most exciting place to go for a picnic!

Found a MM podcast that you might be interested in MrTV tvgeekout.blogspot.com/I've only listened to one episode so far, but the team seem to have a fantastic (and very deep) appreciation of the show. (And they don't um and er or giggle too much).

You know from the Betty has the baby episode when the prison guard looked away from Don at the end after all that male bonding he couldn't even look Don in the eye. What did it mean? It has been much discussed on the internet and I as Mr. TV and an avowed Mad Men fan feel guilt and shame at failing to bring it up before know. Also guilt and shame being my answer for why he coulnd't/wouldn't look Don in the eye.
