Hey! It's very funny to read all of us on this place! Obviously, it's took me a couple of hours to really understand, first english, and now the icons! (God!)
I just want to say: I'd catch you Mari:
"Arg, now I have this idea stuck in my head , plus the variation of doing it from Bling’s perspective (after all it was him who picked up the photos and he probably had Logan’s authorization to check the folder’s content… ) – but I really, really should finish other stuff first . "
And now, NOW HAPPY!, i'm gonna stay quiet... and wait.....and wait...
Note: a mistake, in my challenge message, it was not "I really can organize in my head...." It's should be :"I really CAN'T organize in my head! I little difference here!.
A tentative of challenge? I woke up this morning with an insistent query... What about if, after Polo Loco (when Max kill Ben), she had seen the pictures from Lydecker, she had seen the fear in Logan's eyes, she have understand that she will lose him, because of what she "are", if she had try to do all she can to explain, to grab his comprehension, to keep him affection, despite her rat-lab tinking of herself, because she know than lose Logan it's lose her live. ( And, god, PLEASE with success PLEASE!)
After more than two months, a response: Burning BridgesOf course FFnet chooses this moment to malfunction, having enough mercy to let me upload and now nothing. So no idea whether the link works . Brigitte, I hope this is enough to make you put away that whip for a little while ;D, or maybe distract you a bit from my lack of updating ‘Moves’….

Me, jumping up and down in happiness because I love this story! Thanks, Mari. And thanks, Brigitte, for putting the bug into her head.

Hm, unhappy Logan = happy Lisa... Yeah, I know, I know, it’s just so you can go over and comfort him... And yes, thanks Brigitte for making me think about my least favourite S1 episode.

Christmas in July We have a new challenge in the works being cleaned up over in BBWW. Thought we’d share the basics in case anyone is interested in getting on it, on the ground floor before we have the revised final copy (which should arrive in a day or so). Here are what look to be the basics:1) It is to be secret Santa, you will be given a gift and will give one in the form of a story. 2) These stories are to be determined by a form that everyone will fill out, the main points of it being... What I don’t want to see in my story: Eg. Season 2, virus, alec…Your ‘Wish List’ Anything your heart desires. Could be a genre: smooshy, drama, etc… Could be a location: Outside of Seattle, a locked hotel room, Max’s apartment (can you imagine poor Logan, girl of his dreams, yet cold water, rats, giant hole in ceiling…) Could be a person or a thing: A sibling of Max’s perhaps? Hell a sibling of Logan’s? Could be an event: Another wedding? Max and Logan thrust into an undercover job? Could be a miracle: Logan and working legs, Season 2 ML with no virus. Point is your wish list is endless (only endless in possibilities though, you will be limited to 3 or 5 and not all will be gifted). If you want more details… Blah Blah Woof Woof Forum

Mia's Christmas in July Challenge is resulting in lots of fun new M/L fic! They've been (and will continue to be) gathered in one place in the FFNet's C2, "Christmas in July Challenge 2007" (egad, what a clever name! ) which may be found at tinyurl.com/27mcz9

A "Like We Need Another Challenge!" Challenge:Given that most of the writers here are way too busy for another fic, what with all the pending challenges, RL & an ailing FFN, this is about as bad a timing as I could arrange, but this challenge just appeared, and it's sort of Aerie's fault. The progression: !. Aerie just posted: 2. It struck me as being one of the coolest photos of the two of them I've seen. 3. It can't exist in nature, as we all know S2 never happened. 4. Well then-- that the hell is going on here?? THE CHALLENGE: An S1-or-after-in-S1-canon fic: what has happened? What's going on? What's the deal?? (Sure hope someone takes up this Challenge, 'cos I have no clue and I really want to like this picture!)

Hope you don’t mind me picking this up, Mia. Seeing how everybody seems to be busy, I thought that Mia’s idea from last week at BBWW: could be a nice temptation for luring people into a short neglect of important RL-stuff… ;D 500 words from a single term, a DA-quote or something completely else…? Any ideas / need for fic anyone?

Oooh you know what else I was thinking we could try if we ever get REALLY dedicated to a challenge (and once you guys finish up the Crash Challenge). One of those ‘chose your option’ stories (I found one tucked in with old school books when I was cleaning last week). We could do it Round Robin style or even just a singular person doing it (option B would obviously be much shorter). Now if that didn’t make any sense….. Page 1- Introduction to story/characters. Eg-Max and Logan are going for a walk in the woods. Suddenly there is a bright flash…
Max and Logan follow bright flash- Go to page two. Max and Logan jet back to the car- Go to page three.
And the story would tumble on from there, from each page you’d get two more options, unless that page ends the story (which is why I always used to read with a finger on the last page, so I could go back and take the alternate route if I was suddenly vaporized or something. ). The chapters/pages would be posted and then if you want to continue one of the paths you’d email one person, just to inform them that you were doing that route, so no one does doubles and then you’d write your page/chapter and include two possible routes to take from there. The one person option would just be a normal challenge with either an Intro Chapter like Tinker, Tailor, Beggarman, Thief… and the two options. Or just the intro chapter and you have to come up with the two options, or just the two options. Did any of that make any sense? (the first option is just a round robin that would have a lot of different complete/totally different stories) And I am so down for the snippet challenge. And we could do EVERYTHING with a snippet challenge (depending on who is issuing the challenge). - Single words
- Pictures
- A quote that has to be worked in
- Lyrics
- Start of a story that you have to finish…
Possibilities are ENDLESS!!!

Challenge, challenge, challenge! ;D This reminds me of these trees-figures we had to draw in probability calculation in tenth-grade math (back in the happy times when I and math still got along )Sounds interesting and fun and the group writing has worked amazingly well with the Round Robin. So, questions (sorry, my brain might just explode otherwise )… How would you organize all these expanding options (which would be a lot even if not all are taken…) to keep it easy to read /follow? The usual linear chapter 1, 2, 3 only with hints where to go...? It would be really cool if there was a tree-like feature matching the structure without forcing people to skip over chapters to get to the right part… Would it be a middle-thing between your options if one person writes a chapter, leaves two possibilities at the end and then passes on to the next person? Or is this what you mean with only one person writing? Anyway, less opportunities / branches, but maybe more easily manageable? And I am so down for the snippet challenge. And we could do EVERYTHING with a snippet challenge (depending on who is issuing the challenge). - Single words

Endless is good. ;D So, should we start one now or better wait until a more active time?

Oh man this is long.... If you understand what I'm saying after 1 (I gave three examples) STOP. I'm thorough.Don’t feel sorry, that’s how mine was till I posted. Must always purge the excess thoughts. Hmmm this whole branch thing…TOTALLY CONFUSING ME. We definitely missed that one in math. Here’s what I’m thinking for at least while the story is still in progress, which would probably be forever. Page One. Your straight basic page one. Then at the bottom you get two options for where the story is going to lead. With something like ‘TBD’ (to be determined) or ‘Looking for writer’ next to it. Once we get a writer locked in, that new writer or the person in charge of knowing if someone is writing the next chapter (assuming that would probably be me since I suggested it) would go in and add something like, ‘this option is being written,’ so people would know not to ask to write it. Then once it’s written, it will be uploaded into whatever is the next chapter is available and the page number would be inserted into the original page the story branched off from. Here’s the progression… Story freshly postedPage OneStory text Do Max and Logan… a) Follow the bright light into the woods – Looking for Writer b) Jet back to the car – Looking for Writer Someone emails that they want to do option B.Page OneStory text Do Max and Logan… a) Follow the bright light into the woods – Looking for Writer b) Jet back to the car – chapter currently being written. Chapter is complete and posted. Page OneStory text Do Max and Logan… a) Follow the bright light into the woods – Looking for Writer b) Jet back to the car – Go to page two Three months later option A is completed. Page OneStory text Do Max and Logan… a) Follow the bright light into the woods – Go to page 23 b) Jet back to the car – Go to page two That make sense? If the story is ever complete we can try to re-arrange the chapters and if you want to keep a… Pointing out I saw that occurrence was spelled wrong before I posted and I fixed it, but Photobucket takes a few to acknowledge a change. You go ahead. Huh? Here’s the thing with these stories, in the real books there are occasionally pages that will lead you back onto the same path as another group of pages. That is waaaay too complicated for us (or at least me, waay too much plotting for me). But here’s the other thing about these types of stories. You generally read just about every option through, you try different paths and I mean with how slowly we’d be posting, I doubt people would miss chapters, unless they came WAAAAY later on and you can always make up some type of chart to show them that we can somehow include a link to. We can also have everyone include a brief blurb that sums up their page and we can post the path you've been following at the top of every new chapter. And I still have NOOO idea if that answered the question, dumb down Mari, blonde here. Still, huh? 1 page then two options. One writer per option (they can do the other option as well once they submit their first one, they can even do one of their options after giving someone else a chance to say they want to do it and no one does). Page One: Max and Logan are going for a walk in the woods. Suddenly there is a bright flash…
a) Max and Logan follow bright flash- Go to page two. b) Max and Logan jet back to the car- Go to page three.
Page Two: Max and Logan are walking through the woods trying to find out the source of the blinding light, when suddenly Max turns to Logan and asks,
a) “Do you feel like we’re being watched?” go to page four b) “Ever done it in the woods?” go to page six
Page Six: He was too focused by the light to be stirred by Max’s question, instead he kept moving and talking, “Actually there was this one time in camp,” his head shook and he slightly frowned remembering it, “wasn’t a nurses visit I enjoyed explaining.” And then suddenly he turned to her,
a) “Was that an offer?” he questioned go to page 9 b) “Actually in camp they taught us about these naturally explained lights…” to read Logan’s scientific babble go to page 15.
Haha I’m pretty sure after my three different examples you have some clue what’s going on in my head. Scary isn’t it? NOW for snippet time, it's the perfect time to pull people in with something easy that doesn't take much time
