I think that's what Christmas in a Post-Pulse would be. Making do with what you have. So that could actually work really well. So how about the first three (or more) people who pipe up dictate each a random thing (or action? Sentence?) which she (how about every he participating getting an extra-wish?) would like to see in a story, but nothing with an obvious connection to Christmas (i. e. no reindeers, trees, presents etc…) The task of every writer taking up the challenge would be to make some kind of Christmas-related story from it... But I do like your song-idea as well Should we move this over to BBWW, too, to get more response? Consider yourself lucky, not funny if half of the family sings terribly of key. but many families I'm sure do that (I just haven't met any in awhile). And any song even German (provided there is a translation included) would work for a challenge since challenges are meant to be challenging. Yeah but I need a typical one to make the story work. Is Silent Night a common song in the US? That, or another, rather slow one would fit my idea. Hmmm let's see list of tradition Xmas foods... Candy Canes Gingerbread men (and houses) Cookies and milk (for Santa) So you don’t have the tradition of baking Christmas-cookies, special kinds that are only meant for that time? Something like this?:

So the band of merry writers is now officially "Writers' Pulse" and its efforts will be posted in its very own account in the same name at FFN... If anyone is interested: the group is merrily plotting, now behind closed doors, so as to keep the surprise factor intact (such as it is.) We have the following writers involved, with the characters they'll be writing: Mari: bartender Lilmouse: Logan Insane Troll Logic: Lydecker Toblerone: Max BlueAngel: Zack Maria: Bling And yours truly... ?? Dunno yet who I'll be, due to some recent adjustments. (Ringmaster, maybe?) Lots of good ideas have been thrown out, given this crowd-- it may take us a bit to get something posted (what with all the folks and RL and proof-readings so we all get situated for adding to what's being developed) but we're hoping to get something out that everyone will enjoy! So if you hear nothing for a while, please just assume we're working on it. If anything changes, we'll confess it here, I promise... It's been a while, but we're still plotting and drafting! The holidays and other life matters have kept us on a slower track than if this were, say, our day jobs, but we haven't forgotten this project. The info above is still current, and several portions have been begun... Anything for more M/L fic, right? ;D

I know it's a little early, but, does anyone have any ideas for a possible Max and Logan Valentine's Day fanfiction challenge?

I know it's a little early, but, does anyone have any ideas for a possible Max and Logan Valentine's Day fanfiction challenge? No, not too early! We need a good challenge and then time to respond to it! (...oughta be a breeze for all the M/L shippers...) ...but I have nothing! We all need to come up with a good one or two. It should be the M/L shipper's favorite holiday

I know it's a little early, but, does anyone have any ideas for a possible Max and Logan Valentine's Day fanfiction challenge? I'm still waiting for LAST YEAR'S challenges to be completed. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that was the last we ever saw of Bob or Ibfrox right? My V-day Challenge?? Find these people and make them return to the fold!!!
Cupid's got the right idea...Let's go hunting people!!! Make 'em love DA again and wow us with stories and in Bob's case, the really great reviews (I mean who here didn't love Bob's reviews , story was good too ). Yea aside from that I got nada.

This is exactly what I wanted to post yesterday but then forgot. Loved Bob’s story. A shame that he/she (?) went missing . And unfortunately I have no ideas for a new challenge either .

I have a strange thought. For some reason lately I am mildly obsessed with the idea of Logan having hidden musical talent. Something about his voice and his hands... Don't know. What about a situation where Logan sings/plays a song for Max on Valentine's Day?
A serenading Logan is a sexy Logan...
Just an idea. Feel free to add to or dismiss it.

What about a situation where Logan sings/plays a song for Max on Valentine's Day? Haha, I think that’s something we’re all obsessed with since we know MW can actually do it (this would be the time for Aerie* ( )to provide a lovely little link to MW serenading Sharon Osborne and posting the pic from MW in his ‘Loving’ days with the guitars both of which I’m pretty sure I have saved on my old computer ). I know I’d thought about it for a fic and was ecstatic when Mouse actually did it in one (and for some reason I really can’t think of anyone but her doing it). So in short I really like this idea. Okay so 1) Logan singing, someone throw out more challenge criteria. Or wait is it Logan serenading? Either way definitely works into what I’m already seeing in my head. Yay!!! I’m so excited we actually have the start of a V-day challenge. *Or I could have just used my brains and clicked over to YouTube in the first place. I'm assuming MW singing is in one of these (dial up however prevents that from being a certainty). Part OnePart Two

(so maybe too corny or obvious, but how about adding...) 2) A hand-made, red-construction-paper-and-paper-doily valentine (extra points if the actual making of the valentine enters into the plot line! Someone come add another item to the criteria! Pleezee...

2) A hand-made, red-construction-paper-and-paper-doily valentine Doily? Shy, you’re educating me, two new words in one day ;D. I’m still not sure though what a “hand-made, red-construction-paper-and-paper-doily valentine” is. LEO comes up with Spitzendeckchen for doily, i. e. a crocheted little blanket, something I’d rather connect with my grandma than Valentine’s day . Someone come add another item to the criteria! Pleezee...If we’re going for corny (my weird brain always connects this word with corned beef ): because I’m just eating left-over ginger-bread from Christmas (yummy), how about such a ginger-bread heart. Overly sweet and very fitting for Valentine’s day… but not for DA, I’m afraid . I'm assuming MW singing is in one of these (dial up however prevents that from being a certainty). Part OnePart TwoArg, all this goodness and my laptop still has no sound at all. (Which will stay like that for some time, I’ve really bothered the computer-magic-guy enough lately) Though MW alone, without sound is nice enough ;D.

Doily? Shy, you’re educating me, two new words in one day ;D. I’m still not sure though what a “hand-made, red-construction-paper-and-paper-doily valentine” is. LEO comes up with Spitzendeckchen for doily, i. e. a crocheted little blanket, something I’d rather connect with my grandma than Valentine’s day . Ah very true Mari, the cloth kind are the ones you find under plants at your grams and the various knickknacks scattered around their living room (african violets and tea cups were what my grandma used her doilies for). Shy is talking about the paper kind that you most commonly find under a bakery's cookie platter here or on a kid's Valentine's Day card. A lesson plan on how to make themUmmm why is it not for DA? Overly sweet heart shaped cookies totally make sense in my Vday world (I used to make them with my roommates when I was in college, well the sugar kind). Cookies are the kind of thing that survive through to a post-apocalyptic world and gingerbread soooo works out even better, hello cheaper prices bc it's not Christmas anymore. Umm if you can't tell I already have my storyline regarding that item set so I think we should keep it. Or at least something along the lines of 'sweets for the sweethearts' because the cheesy factor is a nice touch for the holidays.

Wow this idea yous have going about the challenge where you're all teaming up to join one sounds so cool. I'm sorry I cant be involved in all the fun but I would hate to be that one you were all talking about who would take forever....if ever.... in getting their part completed in time . I'm waiting with baited breathe to get to reading it in all its glory when yous are done . Would it be too much to ask for someone to PM me when the date is getting closer cause I dont get as much time to come on here as before when I was glued to my computer, and I do seem to miss a lot as you can tell....seeing as this post is like 4 months too late . It's nice to see some new names popping up about the place and included in this challenge.....maybe a few of us have disappeared a bit of late but its great to know newbies are always still on there way. Not to mention all the originals still sticking with it, Mia, Shy, Mari I miss chatting with you guys , my timing is bad I'm never around when yous are. As for ( I seem to have forgot how to quote , god its been that long....good job I have all day to write this and find out) I'm still waiting for LAST YEAR'S challenges to be completed. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that was the last we ever saw of Bob or Ibfrox right? My V-day Challenge?? Find these people and make them return to the fold!!!
So glad you forgot about me in that rant ......did I promise I cant remember now? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I recently found out by complete mistake that I only used to write and create things mainly DA related when I was sad....for the past year or so everything in my life had been going good for a change till now and that spark that got me to write in the first place has reappeared....why I'm saying all this I have no clue I'm so confused right now. Nothing is as easy as you first seem to thing I have come to find out lately. Yep I'm slow. Oh and Lisa316 great name by the way....I am loving your stories just been reading them....made me smile specially the alec one ( does that make me a traitor?) I'm fed up of being a silent reader I believe all writers should be encouraged especially the newbies. Sorry I dont get more time to do it. Now the question is how do I get depressed more often so I can back into the grove of all this? Why do I feel like such a traitor/ disowner lately.

Wow this idea yous have going about the challenge where you're all teaming up to join one sounds so cool. Hi, Three-bie! Don't worry about being away, we're just glad to see you back! The group challenge has taken a frenetic and energetic upswing in the past weeks-- 2007 will be the year for DA fic!! ;D We have a little thread of our own, under "DA Writers Thingie"(is that what it's called? ) called "Writers' Pulse" (our gang name!) It needs updating, but we have, what, 5 or 6 installments largely done, which are opening shots for each character, and we're now plotting getting them all together & the group scenes. The installments are wonderful and the writers are a joy to have in a group like this. Sorry you feel less creative when you're happier-- boy, there's a dilemma!-- but it will come, boo. Just be good to yourself and you'll figure it out! Just keep us in mind when you're cruisin' though... ~ ~

Hey back x318! Nice to know that you’re still out there and even reading along on FFnet. From your post and the quietness in the DA world I would assume everything is going great with you? I’d really like to poke you a bit about your fic-writing ;D, but since this seems to mean you would have to feel bad first, it would be kind of mean. ;D Would it be too much to ask for someone to PM me when the date is getting closer cause I dont get as much time to come on here as before when I was glued to my computer, and I do seem to miss a lot as you can tell.... Sure I could PM you when the first instalment is up… or maybe, if you don’t want to rely on my memory ;D, you could just sign up for author alert of the group account which Shy already mentioned…
