One of my favorite scenes of the whole series was Lydecker talking to the AA meeting. That was just so surprising yet fit in with his character perfectly . Oh...and ...uh...do you think JA was wearing a push up bra during that jail scene .....cause DAMN. ;D

I'm trying to get the Dark Angel flavor with these teasers. Want more ? I have thousands of caps. Speaking of "Cold Comfort" that's the episode that was shown at the Paley Museum of TV and Radio when I saw Jessica Alba, Val Miller, Alimi Ballard and whatzhisname. It was a memorable night, March 10th, 2001. I must look for my notes. It's just a regular bra. At her age she wouldn't need anything else. Men are dogs! Where is Flyin11 when we need him?

It's just a regular bra. At her age she wouldn't need anything else. Men are dogs! You are right she doesn't need anything else but that doesn't mean the male producers and director didn't ask her to wear something else . IMO her body has never like that in any other episode or still picture I've seen, is all I'm saying .

March 10, 2001 Dark Angel Night at The William S. Paley Museum of TV and Radio North Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills, California I attended this event and I was very lucky to get a seat up front. There were six people there from the series: - Charles ‘Chic’ Eglee
- Jessica Alba
- Michael Weatherly
- Valarie Rae Miller
- Alimi Ballard
- Rene Echevarria
Recorders and cameras were not allowed. I took notes which is how I remember everything so clearly. They were archiving Episode 1.07 Cold Comfort at the museum, so they screened it first. Jessica Alba had on dark pants, a silvery shirt and a very long brown coat. Her hair was pulled back and tied low on her neck. Michael Weatherly was wearing dark pants, a white shirt and a gold tie. Yes, he needed a shave. Valerie Rae Miller was wearing a beige skirt, a white shirt and a fluffy white little jacket. Alimi Ballard was wearing jeans, a dark shirt and a light lemon colored jacket Chic Eglee told about meeting Jim Cameron and how they came up with Dark Angel. Each of the actors told how they came to be involved in the show. Jessica: She committed to do the series before the the script was written. They only had a couple pages of dialogue they'd written to audition actors. She liked the dialogue immediately because to her it was the way people really talked. She went into a year of training to do the show to try to look more genetically engineered. She attended many meetings with the writers when they were developing the show. She made some comments that described her vision of Max as a person. Not just a cat suited hot girl, but a girl with lots of character that other girls might want to emulate. Chic Eglee: It was great to create the show with an actor specifically in mind. To be continued

Then it was Michael Weatherly’s turn to tell us how he got involved with Dark Angel.
Michael: I found the script at my house when I got home from a trip. I read it thinking it was the next James Cameron movie. Then my agent called to let me know I had a meeting for the show.
"I was shaking, but I had a great time at the audition.”
Chic: It was a memorable casting session. Smiles and laughs from Michael and Jessica.
Jessica: When did you find out it was a television show?
Michael: I still think it's a movie. More laughs from the stage.
Chic: Getting back to the audition, Michael was walking back and forth, doing his actor thing, and we can only see part of him on the camera, but Jessica's eyes were following him. She couldn’t take her eyes off him.
Jessica: The producers didn't care if people were movie stars, there were no races next to the character name. They just wanted actors. "I'm so thankful for it." No one on the show has an attitude, "Except me sometimes" when I’m doing fight scenes.
Valarie Rae Miller was asked how she was hired.
Val: When I walked into the room to audition, they introduced me to everyone, and they said his [Charles Eglee's] name was Chick.
Chic: Valerie Miller said, "'What the hell kinda name is that?'"
Jessica: And she was hired, just like that...
Chic: The role had been cast twice already.
Val: Tryin' to give my job away...
Chic: And both actresses accepted the part, then went home and thought about it and had issues playing a gay character.
Alimi Ballard explained how he came to the show.
Alimi: My audition was a beautiful thing. I was at Starbucks and Cameron approached me... and begged ....
Valerie: Looks out into the audience and says, You realize he's drunk as a skunk and none of this is true.
A lot of laughter from the stage and the audience.
Alimi: I went through four auditions, and the last one was very long.
Michael: He walks around with the accent all the time. Don’t know why he dropped it for this panel?
Alimi: I met Michael Weatherly a few years ago.
Michael: In prison.
Alimi: And when I got to the show, I hear my name...being called and it’s Michael. I hadn’t seen him in a few years but we had worked together.
Alimi: It was a great audition process and I felt right at home when I was hired.
René Echevarria explained how he was hired and how much he enjoyed being involved in Dark Angel.
Chic: Jim Cameron is in Asia prepping a new movie so he couldn’t be here tonight.
Jim conceptualized the show into a series about the future and what it could become.
Eglee wanted to do a hip, urban show, and Cameron says, what if they were genetically engineered in a post-pulse city...and his military paranoia plays into it.
Jim’s involvement is ongoing. They go to him for objectivity, because he's not involved on a day to day basis. He sees things in 4 to 5 episode arcs. He's also great at editing the action sequences.

Yes dzero, I was the first one in line. ;D
There was a lot of big smiles and laughter going on during all this commentary. There was so much chemistry with the four actors, you could feel it coming off the stage. I'll go into detail about which two had the most chemistry later. ;D
Lots more to come, although I don't know if I'll talk about how my heart was beating so fast and who caused all that turmoil. Sighhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I'm sorry I can't write more tonight but I have to get ready to go out. A girl's gotta eat.
