Silly of me, but I have this small fantasy that he has a cameo in an ep in which Tony (for whatever reason) hires a personal trainer... (they already passed up one golden opportunity: had Rivkin broken Tony's leg rather than his arm, and had it been a bad break needing some PT... ;D)

Not sure yet: kinda "meh" in comparison to last week and to what they COULD have done... but I missed the first 10 min so the whole things was kinda off center for me. Am waiting for it to hit 'On Demand' and will watch it again.

I feel the writers could've done so much better...I liked the last scene between Ziva and Gibbs, where she actually tells him he's 'the closest thing I have to a father', but just as the scene in the bathroom with Tony and the one in the park with McGee she seemed a little flat, not...committed. The best scene was Ziva's talk with Vance, she came across as fidgety, even a little insecure while putting up her game face. I guess what pisses me off is that this ep. could've been SO MUCH FRAKING BETTER! There, I got it out of my system. Now I just have to wait for next weeks episode and hope for the best. ;D

I expected some awkwardness between Ziva and Tony and on a lesser degree with her and McGee. It was also good to see another DA alumna/alumni on "NCIS" allbeit for a few minutes. I liked the scene between Ziva and Gibbs and to see exactly how she has grown to care for Gibbs. This episode was nowhere near as bad as "Angel of Death" where it was the Season finale and one of the most anticlimatic season finales that I've seen or last year's episode "Knockout" where I thought that once again the writers failed to connect the team with the Director together and I couldn't wait "NCIS" to return and thankfully "NCIS" returned the next week. I also liked how Abby welcomed Ziva back home, it was very in character she was mad at Ziva for not trusting Tony as was the hug and the banner at the end of the scene.

^^^ Could it be that the writers failed to connect the Director to the team because...he's not part of the team! I liked this ep way more than the rest of you seemed to. Just entertained by a good ol fashioned crime story and some more good comedy bits between Tony and McGee. Also as ML fan pointed out a nice scene between Ziva and Gibbs. The only negative was how brief VRM's role was. P.S. Anyone else struck by how much MW looked like Robert Wagner in that scene where he goes to meet the cop by the phone booth? Something about the sun glasses and the hair and the suit... just looked very old Hollywood for a minute.

He could play an one of a dozen roles and would of course make an excellent villain.

The hair cut he's been sporting so far this season has reminded me of Wagner every time hes on screen. Its very much the suave sophisticated look that Wagner basically made a career out of. I thought Ziva was great in this episode, its quite clear that the ordeal has changed her and I think its going to be very interesting to see how this new Ziva interacts with the team and the world. I think that throughout the hole episode she seemed more open emotionally and excited as if what she went through gave her a new, less dour and guarded, feeling about life

^^^ Could it be that the writers failed to connect the Director to the team because...he's not part of the team! No, in my opinion the writers tried to do this background story on the director and could the team have been connected and brought into the story somehow? Sure, I'd like to think so. Instead I watched "Knockout" and was wondering where the team was. The role of the Director has been written poorly well before Vance was ever in the picture and it certainly doesn't help anything that he seems to go M.I.A. every other week. To me the Director has never worked well as a series regular on "NCIS."
