This is the political conversation I love. More please. Four years ago we lost a few good peeps over at NCIS Special Ops after the election. The losers chased the winners away by snarky posting. It was sad. I was a poor loser. My parents attended a big party for our new president last night and they said almost everybody cried when the winner was announced. The tears from several thousand extremely happy and relieved people flooded the place. ;D

I love being a registered Independent, means in any political debate I can sit on the fence and call either side I choose an idiot. Nor do I really have to defend anyone, I pick who I like the most, doesn't mean I like everything about them, could mean they were the lesser of two evils.

Don’t want to start a political discussion here but let me just say that I disagree and don’t think that conceding to something seeming to be ‘human nature’ is a good reason for not even trying. I'm not exactly what you would call a glass is half full person. Oh, me neither – and from a pessimistic point of view one could make just the opposite (justified) statement and argue that people change their opinions way too fast, fitting into mainstream. Actually, if I wanted to be just simply cynic I could say that’s what happened with all the people following the anti-Americanism in the last years and now go along with the new wave of praising the US as a shining example for change and possibility… and while there’s some truth in that I don’t think that such a view would do justice to the complexity of both currents and find it’s much more interesting to figure out how and when and why it changed…

the US Election is alot better to watch then the NZ election. with the NZ election all they show you is people yelling at each other for half an hour on the news.

Out of respect for you, everyone here & the site, I'll say nothing else about the election beyond this: "this" being three paragraphs

Only thing weirder than Wolf Blitzer interviewing will.i.am is Wolf Blitzer interviewing will.i.am's holographic image ;D I vote with Mr. Clark, Stewart and Colbert are the best places to get your news. I'll check out MSNBC for headlines and big stories. I save FOX for when I want to watch Bill O'reilly defend Sarah Palin for not knowing Africa is a continent not a country.
