It sure wasn't AngelZ and her kids. This is AZ's quote: ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D That is what Mother's Day is all about - things that kids make. Did Hallmark ruin Mother's Day? Well, they are called Hallmark holidays, where you buy a $5. card with a verse that means nothing. Someone else wrote it, all you do is sign your name. A gift from a department store that's impersonal. So sad. Boy oh boy, not me. I bought my mom a "peasant style blouse" from the leftover-treasures-from-the-movies bin at the Clothes from Movies shop. ;D Yes, a second hand blouse, only worn by June Haver in her last movie The Girl Next Door in 1953. We're into vintage clothes in my family. My goofy brothers will give her a home made video - a take off from this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhcA4Ry65FUSince I'm not a mom I'll just watch this over and over. www.lesouvriers.fr/detailselection.php?cle=43Ignore the ad at the endWhat are you all doing for Mother's Day. Please ignore this thread completely if you don't have a mother or if you've already purchased a Hallmark card and a department store gift.

What are you all doing for Mother's Day. If you wanted some replies, then you probably shouldn't have written this....... I know I'm in that group. ;D Happy Mothers day to all the DAR members who are moms. AngelZ, Maria656 and Tweeds are the ones I can think of. Anyone else?

Yay* I got a completely finished beanie AND breakfast in bed ;D * Not sure why I'm saying yay. As the beanie is actually finished, I guess I'll have to wear it! The origins of Mother's Day
