like in the USA over here in NZ its election year. on the news here its all about the USA and NZ elections. Typical for us Americans , but I haven't seen any news here about NZ elections. We barely get any news about Iraq anymore. I'll admit I have become a little obsessed with this election. But this is a big one for me, it's a tie breaker . I am currently at 2 wins and 2 loses in presidential elections. So this is my big chance for a winning record.

Saturday we will find out who will win. wonder if Helen Clack will win again, She's has won the past 2 elections.

I'll admit I have become a little obsessed with this election. Obsessed? Really... hmm. We're going to a mixed-theme party Tues night to watch the returns: I have my 2 bottles of champagne (the "elite" theme) and my pita & ingredients for my world famous hummus (the "middle eastern/Arab" theme) ready to go. (Only 2 bottles of champagne so as not to jinx things.) Obsessed? Not at all! ;D

the American election is on the news all the time over here. Without coming off as pompous I think its fair to say the election in the US is a pretty big news story in every developed nation. Few elections in the world have the kind of global effect ours does, some days I really wish it wasn't the case.

I'm recovering from a great Halloween party. Yes, I said, "Great" even though it was at my house. ;D I have a party every year for my fav holiday. Food, fun, music and dancing all over the house. And out. Most came in costume and some are coming back this weekend to help clean up. I've closed off the house and I'm ignoring the mess, and staying in my office for the week. The leftover food is in the fridge and I'm nibbling on pita chips and some revolting looking brown dip with salsa dumped on it that tastes absolutely heavenly. And that dzero, getting his holidays mixed up, running around with mistletoe kissing all the girls. Can't listen to the radio because it's election stuff 24 hours a day and I'm sick of it. I'm listening to Bob Seger, John Mellencamp and Creedence Clearwater to keep me awake. Who are ya'll listening to

I completely agree and have been obsessed too (Americans just seen to know how to make politics entertaining , but it has a bit of escapism if some people over here are more interested in the US-election than their own...
